Rebel Behind The Lines Analysis

In society today people see only superheroes like Superman, Batman and Spiderman as heroes, but a hero can be anyone brave, clever and courageous. For example, in the story Rebel Behind The Lines, Emma shows characteristics of being an hero. Emma Edmonds from the hometown of Saint John, Canada, was a really brave women who went out to become a soldier in the Union Army in total disguise as a man during the Civil War against the Confederates. “He pushed the enlightenment form over for her to sign. Odysseus idea was a clever move and made him a hero resulted him and his men to escape by getting Cyclops drunk to pass out and make the move to blind his eye. Not just that but Odysseus man had the idea to kill Cyclops while he was passed out, but Odysseus knowing better stated that if they kill Cyclops they may never be able to get out the cage with him dead, Therefore Cyclops was clever once again which overall got him and his safely out the cave. Last but not least, our last hero is a true story article called Girls Versus Shark about a girl name Bethany Hamilton. Bethany Hamilton, 13 years old teen from Hawaii who got her whole arm bitten off by a 14 foot tiger shark took courage and surfed again after her recovery. After bethany had her surgery with a full recovery she decided to head back to the beach and start surfing again. “In spite of an understandable fear of sharks’ within a month of the attack she was back on her board, teaching herself to surf “singlehandedly”’
