Most Vietnamese believe that America is the ideal place to live and work. Most of them dream to come America because they can earn more money have a better life, and their children will have the best education. However, the real America life does not fit what they expected, so they begin considering returning home. There are two main reasons why they go back their home country.
One of reasons is culture shock. In fact, most of Vietnamese, who first came America, feel excited in the first weeks. They want to discover new places, make foreign friends and learn the new culture. However, after one or two months, they begin feeling bored, disappointed and homesick. They feel alone among their communities because they cannot communicate with Americans. Also, they face many difficulties in America. Moreover, the Vietnamese government gives them many benefits, such as free house, life insurance and high income to keep them working in Vietnam. In addition, the life in Vietnam is cheaper and easier than America. For example, Vietnamese experts, who has a degree and higher education in America, might earn a good income, but they also pay a lot of money for their cost of living. In contrast, if they would work in Vietnam, they might earn a higher income, have a free house rents provided by government, and have a low cost of living.
