The way I see myself definitely varies from one degree to another. For instance, I am not at all tactful as I am imaginative. This is another reason why I perceive myself as being slightly quiet. I chose these answers because I know that I like to think a lot to myself and am more observant of others around me than I am of myself. Since I am rather quiet, I haven’t really practiced my communication skills as much as I’d like and thus why I am not very tactful. On a more positive note, I do see myself as extremely imaginative and friendly. I chose to rank myself high on these two because I always try to treat others the way I would want to be treated and was always told that I was extremely curious, imaginative, and artistic as a child. I believe I still am.…

When most people look at me, they don’t always see me. They see a girl. They see a quiet girl who is a big reader. They see a girl who is a hard worker and does well in school. They see the sister of three younger brothers. It’s true. I’m all of these things. I am also much, much more. I am mature in certain matters, and childish in others. I change my personality according to my surroundings, and do not show the world the real me. There are even some things that my family does not know about the real me.…

In this “Culture of Me” society, everything is Me-based. In the video “It Is All About Me,” the author mentions that this generation is known as “Gen Me”; it comes from the formula Gen X + Y +Z. Ever since I was younger, I possessed unique individual qualities. I was always the girl in class who always reminded the teacher about homework, the one who never missed an assignment, and the one who always made the honor roll. In fact, I never settled for mediocre because I knew one day it will pay off. Throughout my educational career, I’ve learned that being yourself is the key to becoming successful. The world is filled with people attempting to duplicate someone which is why I’ve always pushed myself to be unique. I devote much time in expressing my individual capabilities. Whether it’s singing on the choir or going more in depth into my spirituality; I always leave room for me. I am a firm believer in devoting my time to my individualism. When a person knows there inner-self and can come to turns with their problems, it shows a high level of maturity.…

The definition of identity is truly vague to my knowledge but I think it has to do with everything in your existence that relates to your physical, psychological, and cultural persona.…

I see myself as someone who is expressive. I am an outgoing girl and I find making friends to be a simple task. However, I am one of those people who will not fully open up to you unless I know I am comfortable. I am an open book, as long as the person reading me takes it one page at a time and doesn't jump chapters. I believe that I am this was because of how I grew up. I learned early on that you can't trust everyone you know, and you can't keep toxic people around. Day in and day out at school, I always tried to fit the mold of the stereotypical highschool student. Timid and shy, but more than willing to fit in with everyone else. Finally as a senior I have realized it is more important to be seen as yourself than as a copy of everyone else…
