He earns these numerous awards due to his excessive attention to plot details. Such as, during the filming of Reservoir Dogs, “a paramedic was kept on the set to make sure that Mr. Orange 's ( 'Tim Roth ') amount of blood loss was kept consistent and realistic to that of a real gunshot victim” (Graphic Interface Design pg. 2).

NARRATOR: Another trademark of a Tarantino film is his utter brilliance in torture scenes. These scenes are what make audiences feel like they are being held hostage with the character. For example, in Pulp Fiction, Butch Coolidge and Marsellus Wallace are both tortured by Maynard and Zed.

With so much hubbub given to the lenses and the format used to shot this film, one may expect to find many shots of huge mountains and outdoor sets. But these unique features are instead almost exclusively used for up close, tight situations, almost entirely in the stuffy cabin. Each unique character is simultaneously slowly unfolded. The script offers everyone opportunities to stand out, and they all do, but the greatest performances are given by both, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Walton Goggins. The Samuel L Jackson character is great, but many times Tarantino references the actors iconic image, by slowing down funny lines and making him say self-referential lines that don't seem to fit in. It often feels like Tarantino is poking you in the ribs saying “huh? did you see what he just said, wasn't it…

“One person’s craziness is another person’s reality,” by Tim Burton. Throughout the three movies (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, and Big Fish), Tim Burton has reiterated his style, which is mystery, fantasy, and imagination. These make Burton movies extremely interesting to view because you always wonder what Tim Burton was imagining when he created his next film. His style comes from three properties that every movie should contain, music, shots, and lighting. Throughout this essay, I will explain why these 3 items make his movies so much more entertaining than a movie without those crucial details.…

“The Cutting edge” used very cleaver editing techniques to help narrate the story. Although the film had a narration along with the interviews, it was the cuts from director to editor that made it so successful. In those scenes, the director would speak about his experience during the postproduction of a film. Then there would be a cut in-between his interview to the editor while they explain their perspective. This was done very well, especially the cuts between Quentin and his editor. The viewer…
