Quantitative Counselors
Quantitative research will be used in this study to determine predictors for burnout among public sector rehabilitation counselors. Quantitative research is utilized in both natural and social sciences (Bernard, 2013). Moreover, quantitative research is a data-led approach that measures the individual’s point of view statistically. According to Creswell (2009), quantitative research theories are tested to determine an answer. Quantitative research can be used to determine the relationship between the variables within the study (Creswell, 2014). Quantitative design is the best way to examine the variables within the study and the non-experimental design used in this study could allow for or provide for a larger population of public sector rehabilitation counselors to be examined. This study utilizes a non-experimental design, which is consistent with the quantitative method of examining relationships between variables. In addition, it is also consistent with measuring categorical data and populations opinions. Within the research, the relationship between the independent and dependent variables will be examined through the use of a linear multiple regression.     Case managers are responsible for many aspects of a consumer’s case (primary management of case – which may include service acquisition, housing, benefit utilization, etc).
