Qualities of a Hero

Qualities of a Hero “What is a hero without love for mankind.” (Doris Lessing). That meaningful saying expresses only one important quality that a real hero should have, but there are other qualities to be considered. Most people believe that superheroes share some common characteristics and qualities that embody human’s deep hopes and wishes. Some of the qualities that most people believe make a real hero are wisdom and humanness.
First of all, wisdom is the most desired quality that every hero should have. On the other hand, being a superhero without having a wise mentality could classify you as a normal human being. In other words, wise heroes are more thoughtful, thus, they can deal with problems in an intellect way. Therefore, this is one of the effective qualities that may distinguish a real superhero from a normal person. Actors sometimes portrait their wisdom in their movies in order to show how important wisdom is. For example, Iron Man had the power of judgment in order to deal with evil power and to be respected from people.
Secondly, humanness and kindness are very sensitive qualities that may affect people’s spirit positively. Humanitarian heroes are often closer to people. Although humanness is quite rare, it is definitely an important characteristic. Movies usually built humanness in their characters, in order to help the audience know to the importance of humanness and its effects on society. For example, humanness in Spiderman leads the hero to be honored from the whole town because of saving human’s lives and caring about mothers and children.

In conclusion, heroes who have different desired qualities such as wisdom and humanness could aspire people to pursue their goals. In my perspective, every person should benefit from any real hero’s characteristics, and apply them upon themselves, in order for everyone to be their own hero.
