Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, also known as Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, was a Russian Composer who lived during the late Romantic Period. He was mostly famous for composing pieces of music for operas and ballets. He was born on May 7, 1840 in Kamsko-Votkinsk, Vyatka, Russia. He took piano lessons at the age of five, and showed his passion for music when he was young. However, his parents wanted him to work in the civil service.
