Throughout our lives, we are taught to respect and care for the people around us. Many people believe it is honorable to care about the ones around us. However, I believe putting yourself first is more significant than worrying about others. It may seem somewhat selfish, but putting yourself first can be more beneficial as opposed to caring about others. Suppose you are in a group project where everyone is assigned a task to complete, if you were to worry more about the other members of the groups progress, you might fall behind and perform poorly yourself.
