Public School Persuasive Essay

Hello, I am a student at Indiana University, as well as a concerned citizen. I grew up in Wayne Township from 1st grade to 12th grade. Going to a public school that constantly lost funding due to the lack of resourcing was very saddening. I cannot imagine going to Indiana Public Schools, where the funding is the bare minimum. Funding for the inner-city public schools and rural public schools need to be increased, instead of decreased. Taxes are being raised to fix roads, but not funneling money back into the number one investment, education. Briefly, I thought money from the lottery was supposed to be put toward the schools. It is unfair that suburban schools receive better funding and resources because of the location. Essentially we are redlining
