Public Health Informatics Personal Statement

Being an internationally trained physician with six years of clinical and research experience, I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Health from The University of Texas School of Public Health major in Health Services Research. I have great passion to work for improvement in clinical processes that results in more efficient and effective healthcare outcomes, providing value based high quality care with high reliability and patient safety. Thus, I have developed interest in Health informatics which in my understanding is an evolving field and has more scope that links information technology, communications and healthcare to improve the quality of care and patient safety. I intend to pursue certification program in Public Health Informatics
