Pros And Cons Of Using Coupons
Three Tips for Using Coupons

It seems like everybody is talking about coupons these days. However, if you decide to start using coupons on a regular basis, there are a few things you should know. The following are three of them.

Don't bother with coupons for items you don't use
It seems like there is a coupon for everything, but if there is a coupon for something that you don't regularly purchase, then using the coupon may be a waste of money. Only focus on those products that you normally buy or local businesses that you normally frequent. Otherwise, you are simply wasting your money. Of course, it is okay to use a coupon to try something to see if you like it. In fact, that is the best way to do it. There is no reason to pay full price for something you are not sure about.

Don't bother using every coupon you find
Some coupons are not that good. Make sure you understand how much money you are saving. If the coupon is saving you only a few cents, it may not be worth cutting the coupon out and saving it. Clipping coupons and filing them away takes time, so it needs to be worth your while. Also, be careful with coupons that require you to buy more than one item. The amount of the savings may seem good, but if it requires you to buy more than you normally buy, you may be purchasing

There are always a variety of generic products, and some of them are quite good. Often a coupon for a brand name will save you some money, but even with the coupon, the generic item is cheaper. The key to determining whether the coupon is good for you is in knowing the qualify of the generic item. For example, you may have a favorite brand name cereal, and you know from experience that the generic item isn't as good. In this case, a coupon for your favorite cereal may be good to use even if the final price is higher than the generic product. In other situations, the generic may be good enough and no brand name coupon will be worth

Everyone has his or her own personal preference towards buying generic or name brand products. When shopping in a grocery store does the type of pasta really matter to you? How about the type of macaroni and cheese you reach for? Same ingredients, same directions on how to mix and stir up the final manufactured goods but is it really the “same”. To a lot of people it might not make a difference, but like me, a lot of people prefer spending the extra 50 cents on a box of “Kraft Macaroni and Cheese” and it’s worth every penny.…

    Macy's Case Study

Many companies use the strategy used by Macy’s, but, usually, consumers expect more discounts and promotions in the future. In general, once the customer receives a discount or some kind of reward for engaging in purchase behavior towards a company, their expectation for future rewards increases. So, in order to make this program effective, Macy’s needs to increase the value offered to consumers. This can be done by offering customers a reasonable reward for repeat purchases. This means that the reward program should offer any type of reward that would actually make a difference for the consumer. If the company offers a $10 dollar discount for every $500 dollar spent, then that is not a reasonable discount for the consumer. In contrast, if the company offers a 10% discount for every $500 spent, then that could be a reasonable reward for the consumer. In this case, Macy’s is offering 10% off which may not be a good deal for a person spending $10 to $15 dollars in the next two days. In addition, I believe that the current program is performing well when it comes to the timing in receiving rewards because, the longer it takes to receive the benefit or reward, the less benefit would be perceived by the consumer. Also, the company should develop a program that would deliver more benefits in the long-run. Currently, the company is offering only two days of rewards. Finally, the company should develop a long-term loyalty program to maintain customers involved in the program. A good example would be a reward program that would use points which could allow customers to earn points every time they make a purchase. And, after gathering a determined amount of points, the consumer would be able to exchange those points for rewards or…

Around us companies are always trying to find ways to have consumers gravitate towards them. There are many ways, but a very effective way is by coupons. Such as the company Groupon has successfully done by attracting many people to its site with loads of deals for consumers to choose from. Looking for tickets for the Grand Mini Prix in Las Vegas? Groupon is your go to website or app to find tickets at a much cheaper value! Many people will gravitate towards cheaper prices making them to want to use the website more often, then recommending to others. The most astonishing thing to anyone while waiting in the check-out line is observing how the person being tended, pulls out tiny square papers and their phones, handing them to the cashier. Only for their totals to come out to almost nothing even though they have an extensive number of items. Groupon and many other similar sites have helped people try new things or purchase more of a certain product.…
