Introductory Business Statistics Econ 231 CRN 32698 Summer 2013 Jan Wolcutt Text: Basic Statistics for Business & Economics, 7th Edition by Lind, Marchal, and Wathen. McGraw-Hill-Irwin, 2010. The study guide is optional. You will also be required to buy econnect to do homework assignments and download files from Blackboard. Testing: There will be 4 exams during the semester (including the final examination). There will be 6 quizzes (possibly unannounced). If you miss a quiz, you must schedule a make-up within two days. Grading: Your course grade will be based on your performance on three midterm exams, six quizzes, homework and a final exam. The 4 exams are worth 100 points each. The quizzes are worth a total of 50 points. Homework assignments are worth a total of 50 points, or 10% of your grade. No Late Homework! No Extra Credit!
