Post Traumatic Stress In Modern Society
There are a number of different events that can trigger post-traumatic stress disorder among people, and they may not be the same for every person. Anything that can be a traumatic enough event for a person through fear, or grief, or pain among many others can be the cause. Loss of someone close, witnessing or living through a terrible event, being attacked, or a terrorist attack are just a few events in modern society that are very common causes.

Fortunately enough today in modern society, there are a lot of different aids for someone experiencing any form of post traumatic stress disorder. Speaking with someone close to you, or a professional could help relieve stress and work through problems and concerns. Finding new things that make you happy to help move past the stressors and stay focused on positive factors in life. Physical activities, new hobbies, reading books, writing down thoughts; there are lots of ways to relieve stress at our disposal in current times, one may work better than others depending on the person.

Whether its through unwinding and getting away from all of the things that occupy us every day, physical activity, or therapy and medication in their various forms. Although completely separating from stressors permanently is impossible, there are a lot of different things at our disposal that can help take the edge off to keep mental health the best it can be.

I think you are completely right, there are so many things that can cause post-traumatic stress disorder in people. There are many things that cause stress to our lives that can take a major toll on our mental health. We must do what we can to help counter the stress and stay in the best state of mind.     Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is defined as an anxiety disorder that can occur after being exposed to a traumatic experience like combat, terrorist attack, or child/sexual abuse. (National) Most times that PTSD is developed are in the time of war. The reason it is developed more during the time of war is because these people are exposed to most of the types of trauma that will cause PTSD. Not every person involved in the war develops PTSD though because the development of PTSD depends on how intense the trauma was, how long it lasted, if the person was injured, if they lost someone important, or how much support they received after the event. (National) After an event has happened, the person involved is given a screening exam to see if they have PTSD. The main things the doctors look for in the exam are symptoms of PTSD. Some of the symptoms of PTSD include, reliving the event, avoiding situations that resemble the event, feeling numb, and feeling keyed up.     Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a type of anxiety disorder. PTSD usually occurs after someone has seen or experienced a traumatic event that involved the threat of injury and death.
