As I strolled along the riverside, the cream pearl path led me towards a stone bridge. Artists sat nearby, the mens crisp moustaches added delight as each brush stroke swept across the canvas's full of complimentary colours, adding life to the pink blossomed trees what danced delightfully by the river. The view was magnificent. 'Great Grand papa lets play catch!' 'I'm tired Poppy, come and help me catch some fish my angel.' 'Okay Great Grand papa can I hold the net?'
These were some of the precious memories I have of my Great Granddad Jimmy, he was my hero. Today was his birthday and I got my favourite fishing rod and sat at our favourite spot, the birds sang on high branches above me it was so magical. The sun shone brightly and made the freshly cut grass scent tickle my nose. The water ripples formed a calm layer on the rivers surface, this was a perfect day to fish. As the sun sneaked behind the clouds I decided to go under the massive oak tree nearby to eat my sandwiches. 'Your Grandma has made us sweet jam sandwiches Poppy, eat them all up.' 'Yum...My favourite, Grandma makes the best jam sandwiches.'
As I finished my sandwiches the memories I had with my hero made me feel proud of the life I had. Although he wasn't here to share the good days with me I knew he'd still be smiling. The sun tiptoed from behind the clouds to reveal its warmth again, I packed my lunch box back into my rucksack and was about to continue fishing when I was suddenly blinded by a radiant glow, as I placed my hand in front of my face to hide my eyes I was welcomed by an engraved silver box. I pushed the dirt what was surrounding it aside and placed it in my hands. I slowly pushed the lid up when it suddenly flipped open. There, lay... 3 golden medals sitting elegantly in the silk lined box, the ribbon surrounding the two gold circled medals and one star added colour to them individually. 'Grandpa why have you got a scratch on your face?' 'Don't worry sweetie its from

Several art pieces exemplify meaning within the designated area it was constructed in, as well as interpreting its meaning through either exaggerated, geometric shapes, or merely conveying a story as if it was a picture book. Art overall has illustrated this world triumphantly with a plethora of sculptures, paintings, and other abstract or representational art pieces, thanks to their artists who have created these worlds. They help individuals perceive what the artist sees within an image to refresh their audience's view, and realize to stop, bask in, and admire the beauty surrounding them once more. Because of this, habit has dulled the audience’s sensory experience. Located on the side entrance for bus riders to enter Lewis and Clark, John Medwedeff’s “Bloom” helps portray meaning and beauty for his audience, effectively describing the feeling of growth, knowledge, and tranquility.…

The comparison of Pissarro's Small Bridge, Pontoise, 1875, and Cézanne's The Bridge at Maincy, near Melun, 1879-1880, demonstrates the mutually beneficial relationship that existed between these two artists. Pissarro's work measures 25 13/16 by 32 1/16 inches, a few inches larger than Cézanne's, which measures at 23⅝ by 28¾ inches, and both works are in the traditional style of oil on canvas. Pissarro and Cézanne have both depicted a landscape, which was typical of Impressionist subject matter, and it is possible that both works were painted en plein air, French for "in open air," outside the studio as was also common among the Impressionists.…

No human being could fail to be deeply moved by such a tribute as this [Thayer Award]. Coming from a profession I have served so long, and a people I have loved so well, it fills me with an emotion I cannot express. But this award is not intended primarily to honor a personality, but to symbolize a great moral code -- the code of conduct and chivalry of those who guard this beloved land of culture and ancient descent. That is the animation of this medallion. For all eyes and for all time, it is an expression of the ethics of the American soldier. That I should be integrated in this way with so noble an ideal arouses a sense of pride and yet of humility which will be with me always…
