Why are phobias more common in women then mean? According to several sources women are more likely to have phobias then men. They say women have a great chance to have phobias because of many different reasons like hormones.
According to psychcentral.com “hormonal and biological factors as well as differences in experiences that may account for the disparities.” In making this comment psychcentral.com argues that the reason why phobias are more common in women is because of hormones and biological factors. Knowing this is important because if hormones are what causes it phobias to be more common in women then scientist may be able to control the hormones and maybe make it less likely for women to have phobias.
Also health.nytimes.com believes that “women have twice the risk for most anxiety disorders as men, a number of factor may increase the risk in women including culture pressures to meet everyone’s else’s needs. Basically health.nytimes.com is saying that because women are so stressed out because they are try meet everyone needs that it increases the chances of women having phobias this matters, because if women relax more and don’t get stressed out they maybe less likely to have phobias.
According to minddisorder.com “there are twice as many women with specific phobias than there are men with this disorder.” basically minddisorder.com is saying that women are twice more likely to have phobias then men. This is important because it shows that women are more likely to have phobias then men.
So women are more likely to have phobias then men because of hormones and biological factors and because of stressed , and if scientist can control the hormones in women it might make it less likely for women to have phobias.
