III.TECHNICAL PLANS

1.Technical Production Description
Technical phase guarantees that the pigs are well taken care of. The technicalities in caring the pigs are not that critical because native pigs are highly adaptable to our climate. The caretakers will be responsible to ensure the pigs are well- fed and have access to clean water.

2.Production/Operation Process
Purchase of stock from a reliable source will be chosen to assure of good healthy result. The proponent will purchase 30 piglets (2 months old) per batch, four times a week. The average live weight of the native pigs is at 3, 4, 5 months are 9.0, 16, 25kgs respectively. Mix feeds and some legumes are fed two times a day to achieve the average weight. Mix feeds are given in the morning and evening while legumes are provided in between meals. Ideally, base foods are combined in a big pail with all the ingredients such as rice bran, corn, salt, copra mill, molasses and limestone (trace minerals) to achieve the best feeds.

4.Labor, machinery/equipment requirement
Bisboy will construct environment-friendly building. Recommended housing materials are available in the rural areas including coconut coir dust, saw dust and rice hull for beddings; corrugated GI sheets pre-painted for roofing; and round bar for walling. The good thing about using rice hull, coir dust and other biodegradable materials for bedding is that the beddings are suitable for organic fertilizer for plants after 1-2 years of usage. Two caretakers will look-over the proposed business. Bisboy will employ 2 people who have knowledge about agriculture and preferably those who are living within the adjacent area of the location of the proposed business. The caretakers will receive fair compensation based on the minimum wage set by the government as grounded by their qualifications and performance. The business will use locally-available materials as mentioned above plus other concrete and steel materials.
