Persuasive Essay: Should Animal Testing Be Banned?
Have you ever thought about the animals that are being brutally tested? Or the cute lovable animals you see everyday. The ones that have owners and live in a house? Or the ones without owners and live in steel cages hating their life? I am against animal testing and it should be banned, it’s pointless and isn’t helping anybody, so many things could go wrong so fast, and finally the laws aren’t strict enough. Those are my reasons why I think that animal testing should be banned.

First of all, Animal testing is pointless and isn’t helping anybody. 92% of drugs passed by animals fail right away when tested on humans because they are pointless. Some of the tests might not fail on the animals but , most humans would die if the medicines aren’t looked deep enough. In America, 106,000 Deaths a year are attributed to reactions to medical drugs. More than 100 million animals suffer and die in the U.S.

The law “If the scientists keep failing tests they shall receive a two year sentence in jail” should be stretched to four years or get fired because they are killing and failing all these tests. If they keep doing the same thing over and over why don’t change what their doing or just stop? (animal testing pro vs cons)

Some people disagree that animal testing is bad, but Animal testing has had very big cures such as Breast cancer, Leukemia cancer for kids, Lung cancer, etc, but all of those cures and medicine have took a long time to develop and so many tests have failed while doing them. Think about how many animals died while being tested on. Instead they should use natural resources instead of those deadly, dangerous chemicals.

In conclusion, animal testing is NOT HELPING. All the animals can think of is what is going to happen next But there are ways to not buy products that aren’t tested on animals like all natural shampoos and conditioners. There's a lot of ways to avoid these things like looking before

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

The first reason is that animal testing harms animals. For example, more than 100 million animals die every year due to chemical, drug, and food tests (Animal Testing 101). This is important information because that is a large amount of animals lost every year. Some of these things that people are testing animals on are not even necessary so animals could be dying for no good reason. Also, many animal tests are cruel procedures some include feeding dogs pesticides, forcing mice to inhale toxic fumes, and dripping corrosive liquid into rabbits’ eyes (Animal Testing 101). In addition, rabbit eyes are very sensitive and dripping chemicals in them can cause major damage and pain to the rabbit.…

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

Animal testing on cosmetics should be banned. People are put in jail all the time for abusing their pets, but people are never put in jail for inhumane testing of cosmetics and other pharmaceuticals on these same animals. I have done a lot of research on animal testing and methods we can use that are more effective and don’t use animals through high school in my free time because of curiosity, so I know a lot of random facts about the harmful nature of this and alternative methods. Animals are being tortured to “help” make better medicine and, the majority of the time does not affect people the same way as animals. Animal testing is inhumane and ineffective the majority of the time, it should be banned.…

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

Businesses such as Band-Aid brand, Colgate, Pert, and even Revlon use this process to make your favorite items that are vital to healing skin, help you to clean your teeth, and keep your hair clean. It is known that animal testing can sometimes be cruel for the animal, but that is only a small percentage of the animals being tested on. Undeniably, animal testing should be allowed because there are many laws protecting the animals being tested on, new vital medicines come from theses harmless tests, and most if the time the animal being tested on benefits from the test being performed.…

The first reason animal testing is not good, is that it harms animals. According to Ian Murna, after research the animals are killed. Animal testing gets animals sick. It gets animals sick because some of the drugs that the scientists use for animals may not be healthy for them (Animal testing 101). The world is so nervous about animals going extinct, then why do we use them for testing then? Animals are kept in small cages (Animal testing 101). Animals need to move around just like humans, how is that fair to them, animals have feelings just like humans.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Nowadays there are many companies that test their products on animals such as makeup and painkillers. Not many people pay attention to this fact, but in actuality they should. Excuses for companies using animals for testing are that they have similarities in their tissues and DNA. Though parts of the human body vs. an animal’s body may have similarities but people must keep in mind that we are two totally different species. Science shows that animals rarely serve as good models for the human body so why would we feel safe with the product anyways. The best thing for us to do is test out products on other humans so then we can get reliable and accurate results. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that 92% of all drugs that are shown to be safe and effective in animal testing fail in human trials; from this information you can see that testing on animals isn't very reliable or safe for our safety and health. Also, it was said in multiple science journals that testing on animals would be a waste of time and life, both human and animal. Testing on animals is dangerous for both species.…

There are alternatives to animal testing. One way is artificial human skin. It produces better results and is safer. It is made from human cells and is grown in test tubes or plastic wells. It gives better results than animal skin. The skin still shows the reaction to the substance and it isn’t harming anyone or anything. It is a better and safer way to test substances.…

Animal testing is morally wrong because of the pain inflicted on innocent creatures. There are two basic arguments that are typically presented in concern to animal testing. Most people who oppose it tend to go towards the animal welfare side of it and say that it is torturous to put animals through this, while the other side of the argument is that without these techniques products would not be thoroughly tested before being put on the market. So, it is harmful to animals, but beneficial for people (Ormandy 2). People can try and say that these tests are benefitting us by protecting us from potentially harmful products, but that is not worth harming and animal for it. Every year over 300,000 animals die from harsh lab conditions, and over 12 million are used in tests in the European Union alone (EU Animal Testing) (Fact Sheet). The tests that many animals endure and long and painful, often resulting in death or injury. Rabbits are often used in tests for skin or eye irritation where chemicals are rubbed onto their skin or dripped into their eyes causing rashes to form or making them go blind many times. Lethal dose tests are also used where animals are forced to swallow large amounts of chemicals to determine how much will cause death. Force-feeding tests are conducted over months or weeks to search for sign of general illness or other problems such as cancer or birth…
