Persuasive Essay On Why Adults Should Drink Water For Adults
There are many beverages out there: sodas, juices and energy drinks, but one drink that adults need but usually don’t want is water. Most adults fall short of the suggested amount of water that they should drink. Adults should drink at least one half-gallon of water everyday. Water is needed for human survival and can help speed up the metabolism of the human body. Water is essential for the human body to process properly. According to water.usgs.gov, “in adult men, about 60% of their bodies are water... adult women… have about 55% of their bodies made of water.” Without water, over half of your body wouldn’t be there. Adults should drink water for the betterment of their bodies. Water can also help adults struggling with weight loss solutions.

The water inside cells is called intracellular fluid and passes through the walls of cells with the assistance of proteins, sodium, and potassium which are dissolved in the body. This ebb and flow of intracellular fluid controls the levels of dissolved substances in the different compartments of the body. When particle concentrations are too high, water flows in to dilute, lowering the concentration to a proper level. When too low, water flows away from the compartment, thus raising the concentration.
