According to the passage, Friedman wrote, most people feel like theses kids are low-key getting away with murder in a way which goes beyond school authorities(Friedman, 45). These bullies are pushing these kids to do things to harm themselves in ways i can not even imagine, and they are committing suicide because hateful and harmful things they have said online. Bullies nowadays know that physically harassing these students will get more bystanders so they go online where they know they cannot see a reaction from the victim or any bystanders (Friedman,42). In many schools, they do not ever pay any mind when things like this happen online so people think that they can get away with it. So many kids may not consider cyberbullying as bullying until they fully understand how it can affect the other person (Battista 2014). Some kids just think that they are just joking around with their peers, but do not know how much it is hurting the other person inside. “ Drew posed as online as a teenage boy and tormented a woman named Lori. Birdnow says ‘although Drew’s behaviour was reprehensible, there is nothing inherently criminal about it’...” (Friedman, 45). In this situation, Birdnow thinks because Drew did not say that Lori should kill herself or threaten her that she was being a jerk and made a stupid decision to harm herself. Another person's opinion is that the school does not control the internet, this person believes that the school should not deny a student's right to an education based on something that isn’t school jurisdiction (Debate 2013). This person is saying that the school should not worry about cyber bullying unless something drastic happens which means they are probably waiting for someone to die first before the school enforces its rules. Someone else also says that cyber bullying has nothing to do with school, and they think that if someone is harassing them, it is a preference to block the person instead of sitting there looking at it feeling sorry for themselves (Debate 2013). Some people think that if someone is bothering anyone online, it is your job to deal with it because it is not happening on school grounds, so they do not think it affects people. According to research so far most people believe that cyber bullying has absolutely nothing to do with school and leave the rest to the
