Briskly walking security guards circle the mall every weekend, asking for Identification and whispering into walkie-talkies. These Security guards are at almost every door enforcing the Malls youth supervision policy. Underage youths are required to stay with their parent or guardian at all times while in the mall, the policy states. Teens without proper ID will be asked to leave the premises. Mall employees who are 17 or younger are allowed to work after 4 p.m. on those days, but they must bring ID and proof of employment. The Franklin Park malls curfew policy should not be removed and security guards should continue to monitor the mall because it provides a more safe environment and keeps teens from getting in trouble at the mall.
