Persuasive Essay On Asteroid Studies
Asteroid studies are important in the exploration of space, but do we have the funds for it? We do have the funds for asteroid studies, but we use them for other things like social security and Medicare. The asteroid study funds could also be put into finding new alternative resources if we don’t want to damage the earth more than we already have or to just use the things on other planets for fuel sources, metals that earth is low on, and new chemicals to better our scientist’s studies. The funds could also be used to help track asteroids to protect the earth from further harm. The funds can also help the U.S get higher in the ranking of the space exploration race, like when the U.S was racing Russia to get to the moon first.

The earth is slowly being stripped of its natural beauty and resources just because we want to get farther in life before other people do. Finding resources in space is one of the main reasons why the government should fund asteroid studies, funding asteroid studies can help us get better fuel sources rather than stripping the earth of its oils and other resources (Planetary Resources video). The gases we find on earth are slowly making it decay because those gases help the atmosphere stay healthy but as pollution is a worsening problem it is ruining the

If we study asteroids it can help us earn more money to get to space faster than other countries. The funding helps NASA, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, get farther in research than other countries so then we can figure out what is good and bad in space before other people in the rankings do. The rankings are important because the American Government wants a better reputation because the things that have been going on lately have been making other countries think they are better than

A lot of people are asking the same question about space exploration these days. Why spend the money on space, when we have so many problems needing money here on Earth? The answer is resources and technology. Space exploration has provided so many new technologies and resources to us on Earth over the years. Without space we would definitely not be as far along in technology as we are today. Space Exploration for a lot of people, provides a different perspective, or view of life. It gives people a real sense of place in our wonderful and large galaxy. Space exploration also provides an understanding of our world and can even help protect the world. NASA has a group known as the Earth Science division that helps us understand how complex and interesting our world is. NASA also studies other planets like Venus and Mars which help us…

The question is should NASA fund asteroid studies? I think they should fund the asteroid studies because it could help us move to other places, it could save lives by building inventions that capture the asteroids, along with us trying to see if they have valuable resources. I believe it could help with protection, lifestyles and resources. The reasoning for these things is to help us out incase we try to move to a different places in our solar systems such as Mars. We could also try to build stuff that lets us go further in space. We could also find other life if NASA funds the mission like plants of life that could be similar to us.…

It is unarguable that there are problems here on Earth. From terrorism to health care and the economy, America and the rest of the world have problems that need to be solved. While there are problems here on Earth, the United States should continue to fund space exploration because it contributes to national security, stimulates the economy and leads to further technological advancements. America cannot afford to stop exploring space in an effort to solve other problems. Instead the U.S. needs to take a look at how space exploration is already working to solve those other problems.…

Space is the final frontier that we now know so much more about due to NASA’s exploration and research in geology, medicine, engineering, chemistry, physics, and climatology. Exploration in the name of science has only broadened our education and understanding into our world and our universe. This thus far has really only been possible through taxes which make about 0.5% of the $3.4 trillion United States federal budget. Once again, NASA. science is focused on better understanding of the Universe. As Carl Sagan said, too much money is being wasted on unnecessary pursuits, compared to the little amount required by NASA.…

I can only imagine what it would be like traveling to space. It is not something I sit around and think about doing. Those who had the pleasures of going to space, like the astronauts, are those who had been preparing for such a career. This does not make me want to go to space, going to space is like dying and going to the other side, you just do not know what to expect. Science tells us that space is like a never ending hole. This sounds a little creepy, but space really is not all that scary, it is quite amazing actually. Science tells us that space is a galaxy with many stars, planets, and rocks. However, I am against civilians in space because civilians are inexperienced and the cost can become extremely high.…

Stars are dying out quicker than they are being born, meaning that the universe is dying in a process that is known as universal dimming. For avid fans of Doctor Who, this is horrifying news, as it means that Donna Noble failed to “Turn Left” and instead chose to turn right at that fated intersection, and now the stars are going out because The Doctor is dead, and the darkness is coming.…

Is the space race really worth it? In a world embroiled in endless problems, starting from rising food and oil prices, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, high infant mortality rate, terrorism to the threat of global warming and climate change, one may question the significance of the world beyond ours. In a state of global political and social instability, is the space race really worth it? Taking into account the 8 millennium development goals, projected to be achieved by 2030 instead of 2015, and the prosperity the achievement of these goals will bring about, the space race does not seem superficial to it. The importance of human lives is irreplaceable. Thus, striving to locate extra terrestrial life forms is not worth the effort; especially when every 3.6…

There are nine planets in the Solar system if you include Pluto and most of them contain many different things then each other. They are all unique in various ways. Although it does not apply to Pluto, the planets are split up into two sides; Jovian and Terrestrial. Pluto isn't Jovian or Terrestrial. It’s density is too small for it to be considered a Terrestrial planet, but it also is made out of rock and ice (Kaitlin). To be a Jovian planet it would have to be made of of gas, so it was classified as not being either. Terrestrial planets include Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars and Jovian planets include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Many people don’t know that the planets are split up into two sections. What is the big difference between…

Many people say that going to space is too costly, and doesn’t help people on earth, or we have better things to do, like purging our national debt, or at least that’s what I’ve heard. But in fact, that’s entirely wrong except for the expensive part, but space exploration has brought so many useful items and gadgets that may be taken for granted from L.E.Ds to artificial limbs (NASA Spinoff).…

Its fact that space exploration is an exceedingly expensive business. It is a multi-billion dollar industry, with low initial expectations being achieved. For example by 2011, the average cost per flight of the space shuttle (alone) was estimated at $450 million dollars, or $18,000 per kilometre to low earth orbit. Many, many people in the world live in slums or worse on the streets not knowing were their next meal may come from. Still the population funds NASA to go into space, for what? To achieve advancements in technology or medicines. This money could be used to create some things right here on earth and possibly gain the same results, for the poor and ill. Also the high costs could lead to substantial economic loss and great difficulty involving money may appear causing possible strain on the nation. Overall, the significant amount of money spent each year on going into space could be used to achieve more realistic and…

Our economy is the worst it’s been since the Great Depression, why are we even considering funding NASA 17.6 billion dollars when we have big problems here?! Barack Obama, our soon to be President, agrees. We elected him so he must be doing something right with the changes he wants to make. Millions of Americans die from preventable diseases all because they don’t have healthcare, and millions more go to bed hungry at night because they can’t afford to eat. If we took that 17 billion dollars and used to help people get health insurance at least our world would be a better place. Also, global warming & issues like that are happening. If those NASA scientists used their knowledge to figure out a way to better help the earth instead of space, we’d be so much better off.…
