Resource: What Kind of Thinker Are You? Assignment from Week One Review your week one assignment and reflect on what you learned about critical thinking during the course. Write a 350- to -700-word paper in which you reflect on the following questions: * What is critical thinking?

* What are the three most significant things that you learned about critical thinking during this class? * How has your critical thinking changed since starting this course? * Reevaluate your stage of development in critical thinking and why you place yourself in that stage. If your rating has changed since Week One, explain why you think this change occurred. * How do you plane to move yourself from your current stage of development in critical thinking to the stage of master thinker?

Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. I have learned even when a person thinks critically their ideas can still be rejected, I have learned that getting and keeping the attention of the audience is important, and I have learned to use other people’s critiquing of my ideas as an advantage instead of seeing it as something negative. Since the start of this class my thinking as changed immensely. At the start of this class I was a “challenged thinker”. I had difficulty recognizing fault in my thinking, and I difficulty accepting others criticizing my thinking. As this class progressed, I was able to see where I needed to improve my thinking and I am realize that criticism is not something that is necessarily negative, but is a way to better my ideas further. I know longer see myself as a “challenged thinker”, because my thinking has improved. I am sure that I am now an “advance thinker”. I know that is a big step up,...
