Personal Narrative: What I Learned In A College Class

At the beginning of the term, I quite honestly thought that this class would be both a waste of my time and my money. It just seemed that it would be one of those classes where the professor would just assign us pointless activities in an attempt to keep students within college. However, as I progressed through this course, I found skills that will not only help me throughout college, but in life as well. The first skill that I found influential to me was __ chapters in, the one on time management. From this chapter I gained knowledge about establishing priorities. Although it still is difficult to do tasks in accurate levels of priority, I attempt to write essays for one class before I review my notes from another. However, I still struggle with doing school work before other activities with less priority such as taking my dog for a walk. Although, I still find myself falling back on old habits when times are stressful, I plan to go forward using the lessons that I’ve learned in this class. This includes better prioritizing my time so that I focus more not only school work, but on researching what schools have a successful program in what I wish to study. As well as continuing to keep track of my finances so that I may fund my schooling without outside sources that may put me into debt. Better note taking will also help me in keeping on track so that I can later understand and utilize my notes.
