Personal Narrative-The Violinist
I was apart of an Internet group full of women. I was browsing the posts when I came across a fascinating woman and I clicked on her photo. My Person was sitting next to me when he said, “who is that?!” So I clicked on her profile and viewed her photos with him. We looked through pictures of The Violinist. “Wow. She is absolutely stunning.” He said. I agreed. At the time, My Person and I were no longer in a relationship. I wanted space while he was desperately trying to cling onto what little of a relationship we had left. So, without his consent, I wrote her a message with his pictures and a short bio asking her to go on a blind date with him. She said she was in a relationship but it was rocky. I don’t know what possessed me to do this. It just felt …show more content…
I had no makeup on, my hair was in a pony tail. I was wearing a tank top and cotton shorts that were marked up from the spray tan. When you first get the spray tan, before you take a shower, you’re about 10 shades darker than intended. The orange tinted spray covered my lips and I looked genuinely insane and smelled awful. I pulled up to the restaurant in an uber only to see Tarzan sitting on the outside bench near the door writing in a journal with a pencil. My heart dropped. I frantically asked the uber driver to circle around the block until he left. The uber driver was confused and I didn’t want to inconvenience him so I got out of the car. I had this 4 year old rationality that if I didn’t look at him, he wouldn’t be able to see me. So I kept my eye on the door as I walked past him. I could just feel his eyes on me. I walked through the door and my heart was racing. I was conflicted on how to handle it. I knew this might be my only chance to talk to him but I had never looked worse. As I was waiting in line to order food a guy at the bar randomly handed me a small sticker with a quote from Buddha on it. It read, “You hold

Two years ago, on a cold Saturday morning, I prepared for my first ever track tryout. I took a shower, put on my clothes, and got into the car. On my way to practice, I felt strong physically, but I also had an undefined, jittery feeling about how the day was going to go.…

After several minutes of standing there alone waiting for my bus, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Naturally I pulled my phone out to look at whatever notification it could have been and to check the bus schedule. As I did this, I saw the outline of a man who appeared to almost walk past me before doing a quick turn to my front right side. Letting him take his position I made my second mistake. I quickly put away my phone into my pocket and the man began to speak. "Hey man I really need some help I have been sleeping here for a few weeks now and I really need the money to get on the train you think you could help me out with twenty bucks?" The man was dirty and made a big deal about how his shoes were all worn down but in reality they looked fine. "I would love to help but I don't carry cash on me sorry man" I said trying to dismiss the situation and get on with my day. I had other things to worry about like this test and whether or not I was going to pass. Or so I thought. The man tattoo on his face or possibly a bruise hell it could even have been dust slowly began to reach and grasp at his front pockets of his pants and then slid his hand into his hoodie and pointed something at me. "You don't…

Throughout my life I have encountered many circumstances that have shaped me into the person I am today. I was born in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico. I attended school in Mexico all the way to second grade. In the summer of 2006 I moved to Cumming, Georgia. It was the hardest thing to do because I left everything that I care the most about. We lived in a trailer which was not the nicest place and in the middle of the forest. I started school at the beginning of August. I had always loved school so I was so excited for the first day. I knew it was going to be hard because I would have to conquer so many obstacles on the way. At this time the only English I knew was probably counting from one to ten and some of the colors. My Father knew some…

Then I asked for his phone to make a call. At first he gave me a surprising look I was exp2ecting to see. The kind of look you would give if a stranger walks to you asking for your phone to make a call. I made sure I asked loud enough so I could get her attention. Now I did, she was staring at us both, me especially. "How long would the call last?" asked the guy, "Don't worry, it would be toll free. I just want to call God..." I paused here, turning to her. She turned to me and she seemed surprised, possibly thinking I was insane. I smiled at her and continued, turning back to the guy, "...I want to tell him I have found his missing angel... and She is just right here..." turning back to her with a smile. My Smile, by the way, is lady killing enough. coupled with the Bait punchline, Was this girl impressed or was she? even the guy was so impressed that he gave me a handshake and excused us…

I was closing in behind her as she reached the crosswalk. She started to cross, of course I followed. After we crossed the street, she walked for awhile, then she sat down on a communal bench. “May I sit here?” I asked. “Of course,” she replied. A minute or two later, she asked “You look familiar, do I know you?” I stated who I was. Everything clicked after that. We started talking about the old days when nothing really matters. I lost track of time, we sat there for what seemed like minutes. Only to find out it had been a couple hours. We exchanged phone numbers, I told her to keep in touch. We went our separate ways, I called a cab and went back to my…

So I got a story of some not so great things that happened to me a while back and all. I might just share it unless you're one of those goddamn phonies. Cause this story is full of em like the damn king's men wearing those big hats with gold rivets, they shook a great deal and dangled when they walked. They were trying to fix me and all but they didn't know what the hell they were doing, phonies...... Anyway one day I was walking down a path and saw a…

I headed to my first class which just so happened to be my favorite subject, English. The hallways were very wide but when filled with students I felt like I had to shove my way through just to get to my locker. The lockers were a mixture between Gray and purple. The school colors were supposed to be purple and silver but there was no way that these lockers could be considered. I took a look at the little piece of paper that the lady in the office had given me and tried out the combination on my locker. It took me about five minutes to open it and after struggling for that long I was a little irritated so when it did open, it flew open and slammed into the locker next to mine. I held my breath and hoped that nobody had noticed. I took a long deep breath and slowly opened my eyes again. Luckily I was still standing alone and nobody around was looking at me. I put my extra books and notebooks into the locker and and closed it as quietly as I could.…

On the day of the date, I was beleaguered with trepidation that the date would go horribly wrong since Mother Nature was suffering through her mood swings. The afternoon sky was consisted of huge smog of gray fogs that seemed like it was going to pour down acidic rain on me any seconds. I was in my new outfit that consisted of a baby blue tank top blouse with tiny little flowers scatter all across, a pair of kaki slack that was just purchased at Express, and my newly cleaned strapless tan high-heels sandals. My hair was silky-smooth and curly like those shampoo models on TV, and my face was glistened a light tan tone from the Lancôme concealer that I used. I stood in the front entrance of the mall, fiddling with my fingers waiting anxiously and nervously like a student waiting to get her diploma. I kept on pacing back and forth, trying to hide my frustration that he was ten minutes…

Everything started on a randomly Thursday night when close friends of mines called and invited me to eat join them at a local Flanigans restaurant. Since it was close to my house, it was no problem to go there to hang out and eat. My friend, Jonathan, had told me that everyone would be there around 8 pm and asked me to pick him up. I started to get ready around 7:30 so I could be at the restaurant on time. I decided to wear a nice black long sleeved shirt with dark blue pants. It looked casual yet pretty elegant. I checked myself out in the mirror. Then I headed out of my house to pick up Jonathan.…
