Personal Narrative: The Existence Of Aliens
When I was born, my mother cried tears of joy as she held me for the first time. As she looked into my eyes, she imagined the future we would have together. She thought about the booties I would wear to cover my tiny feet, the pouty faces I would make when I get upset, and even the sleepless nights that I would cause. I was lucky enough to have a mother who saw t he bright side of the hardships she would face while raising me, but I wonder what life would be like if I was raised differently, in a different culture or planet. I am not saying that I would want to be raised by an alien, dinosaur, or robot because that would be crazy, right? Well, maybe I am a little insane to say that I would be pleased if my mother left me at the hatches of a UFO for my alien parents to find me rather than leaving me to be devoured by dinosaurs or programed by robots.
The choice is simple. My best chance at a healthy, productive life is with aliens. Aliens are unknown creatures. No one knows how they live, act, or look. Aliens could be similar to humans with sincere emotions and compassion, unlike robots. They could also have a sense of how to interact with a human, unlike dinosaurs. They could even live among the humans on Earth disguised to fit in with the rest of the world.
Since aliens are still not proven to exist, nothing factual can be said about them. Sure,

Aliens may have the ability to raise a human in a different but more efficient way. Assume that aliens live on another planet. They can be thriving and living peacefully together. That planet can be much larger than the Earth with an abundance of space for aliens, plants, and animals to live comfortably. On Earth, we encounter disease, famine, natural disasters, hatred, war, crime, pollution, and global warming. Maybe, aliens live a life that us humans dream of, with cotton candy clouds and gum drop

My insider/outsider partner was Alicia Garcia. As you can tell by her last name she is Hispanic. I don’t have many Hispanic friends and I am not use to their culture. Starting on the project Alicia told me a little a bit about her heritage. One of the things I asked her was, “Do you celebrate the day of the dead?” I know that might seem like a crazy question to ask, but I the only thing that I truly knew about her culture is what I seen on TV. Alicia said that they do celebrate it to some extent. They don’t actually go to a grave site and light candles for their fallen relatives, but instead have a feast in honor of them. Alicia is the first generation American Hispanic.…

Chances of Survival: Slim, if you don’t find a place to hide quickly. If a race can manage interstellar travel, they certainly have the tools to destroy “primitive” human technology. However, an alien invasion is doomed from the start. Earth’s gases, microorganisms, and other elements may prove to be poisonous or unsafe for them. Like in War of the Worlds, they might find themselves toppling over like dominoes because of the cold…

My feelings were overwhelming while I was watching Rouge-1, and climaxed in the last minute. I have been a space oddesy fan since I was a toddler and man first walked on the moon. I first watched Star Wars when I was about 1 0-years old. Only a few years earlier, I watched 2001, a space Odyssey. I thought Star Wars was, much better, not because of the action, but because of the force. All my life I wanted to be 'at one with the force' and have the power to heal, block bullets, and cheat death. In my opinion, I have pretty much achieved that.…

The first astronomical object I observed was two very bright, small, and circular dots which I later learned were a popular binary star named Algeria. At first, I could barely see the stars but after focusing my eye in the telescope I noticed that one star was a light blue shade and the other star was a vibrant yellow color. Additionally, the yellow star was significantly brighter, more visible, and larger than the tiny, dull blue star. When I typically look up in the sky, I notice how most stars have a similar shape and size with the same white color and vibrancy as they twinkle against the background of the night sky. As a result, I was surprised by the distinct colors of the stars which might have been because I have never observed a star through a telescope before.…

There has been many cases in which I have helped an outsider feel welcome. One time in particular is when I played tag with this little boy at church since he was new and no one else played with him. Originally, I was outside eating candy and talking to my friends at church. I noticed that this little boy was standing all alone watching all the other little kids play without him. I thought that maybe he was upset so I went over to him and asked if he wanted the rest of my gummy worms. He seemed nervous at first, but eventually he started talking to me. I learned that he was five years old and he was visiting his grandparents for the weekend. His older brother was outside playing basketball with some of the other older boys at the church, and…

As I go on my phone, I start to feel cold. I go on a game, a wolf is hard to get tamed. So I tried to tame, it just makes me feel ashamed. There are monsters not even one lobster. It is night and the moon is bright. It is white while the stars get compressed and tight. As I close my eyes, I start to see light. Then I realize I've been awake all night.…

At times I feel as though I'm trying and failing to be a human being. But what makes us human? I feel although I'm a human-shaped shell made out of pieces of things I find interesting. Instead of a real identity. Just layers of things that I hope will make me different from others. But am I? We rely so much on the opinion of others. But why? Why do we crave acceptance of others? If people were to look closely, they'd notice there really isn't anything there.Just a mess of a person trying to find their ‘place in the world. All we want is to be remembered. Just to prove we are something , we where something. How will I be remembered? Or will I fade into oblivion? Is this the meaning of life? To spend it hoping we have some significance in this…

Aliens are extraterrestrial beings that are rumoured to have visited earth hundreds of times. The existence of these creatures has been contemplated since 329 BC and many believe they are either from another planet, humans from the future, or they have travelled from another dimension. Since then, there have been abductions and UFO sightings across the globe. Aliens are most often described as grey and thin with a large head. Eyewitnesses also say they have a small mouth and nose with large, oval-shaped black eyes. From 1994 to 2011, the top three states with the most alien sightings were California, Washington, and Texas. The majority of UFOs are described as either white or multicolored and shaped like disks. For thousands of years,…

It was a ferociously gloomy day in the heart of Center City. The time of the observation was from 11:43 am to 12:43pm. Sandwiched between 15th street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard is the Philadelphia's Municipal Services Building and within the plaza of the building lies Board Game Park. Even in the rain, the park was festive. Upon arriving, it began to drizzle. The drizzle was light enough for me to sit by a statue that was composed of multiple bodies piled on top of one another. The noises heard ranged from rain dropping, to horns honking to people laughing or shouting. In the surrounding area of the Board Game Park is Love Park with its remarkable LOVE sculpture and fountain, which was spewing pink water in support of Breast Cancer Awareness…

I have had my own experience with feeling like an outsider. I have problems with my ears, which causes me to say “what?” or “can you repeat that again?” a lot. It gets annoying and makes me self-conscience because I’m the only one of my friends that has that problem. They all talk and have fun, but I feel like I’m on the outside. Most of the time I’m lip reading to follow along with the conversation without having to ask those annoying questions. I sometimes can’t follow what they’re saying because I can’t hear them and I mix up the words. I feel this way because that’s how society has taught me to behave. Society is teaching the wrong type of behavior for everyone to…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…

May 19th, 2013 I had dreamt of that day for almost four years. I know I can’t be the only person who feel this way. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. So many different emotions going through my mind all at once. Happiness, Sadness, I felt relieved because it was almost over but at the same time I felt anxious and overly excited to just leave and go far away. 389 seniors were going to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas.
