Personal Narrative: Seventh Grade
Craig and Tanya Fencl brought me into this world on June 20th, 2003. On that day they decided to name me Abbey. Jump forward all of these years later, I am now thirteen years old living in the same house I was first introduced to. On the weekdays I leave my home every morning to go to school with my Mom and my sister. I am now in seventh grade, however I should be in eighth grade. I am one year behind because I have a summer birthday, so I would be about a year behind everyone else in that grade. I am very glad that my parents made that decision because I have a lot more people in seventh grade that I’m close to than I do in the grade above me. I am also glad my parents made that decision because it will give me one more year to work out my …show more content…
Currently I am in volleyball, which goes from the end of August, to October 10th. A lot of my close friends are in volleyball, so that makes it more enjoyable. Since we are in seventh grade, it is our first year in a school sport, so we don’t have a specific position we play. We mostly work on the fundamentals like serving, bumping, and setting. We also practice spiking, but we don’t focus on that skill. When volleyball is over I will have the winter off, but then I will begin Spring track. During Spring track I hope to do the 4x1 relay, 100 meter dash, and the 200 meter dash. I first was introduced to these events from a track and field day in fourth grade when the high school coaches held the event. It was a five day camp for 4-6th graders. The first 4 days were practices, where you learned how to do different events. On the fifth day we had a competition for each event that we practiced. I first signed up for the 100 and 200 meter dash, then I was asked by my friend to join her 4x1 group. After that day, I decided I really liked the sprinting events, so ever since then I went for another two years to that camp. In all, over the years I have learned that trying new things usually ends up being …show more content…
In my future I would like to graduate from a good college, and be successful throughout college. After college, I wish to become a criminal investigator, or a lawyer. Both jobs require extreme amounts of investigation, but I’ve always been interested in mysteries. I have also always been interested in investigation, so I think both jobs would be a good fit for me. Aside from work and my education, in my future I would like to be family oriented, so I always have someone to be there with me. In my personal life, I would also like to be successful. Meaning having a nice place to live, and being smart with expenses. I would also like to be healthy, and be a positive, kind hearted person. I hope to not get wrapped up in the negative part of society, and care too much about my wage. In all, I strive to be a better person in the

Crisp, golden light creeped out from behind my curtains into my bedroom on a cool Fall morning, rising me up from my sleep. Once I had gotten myself dressed, I shuffled downstairs to my kitchen and poured myself some life cereal and milk. As soon as I had finished the rest of my daily routine that got me ready for school, my mom drove me and my sister off to Finley Farms, which was the school we attended. The school day went by as usual and slinked away, but after a few subjects my class, along with the other 5th graders, were led by our teachers downstairs to a room where we were greeted by a woman who told us she was Mrs.Sopeland. The fifth graders all sat down in a semi-circle formation and waited for the rest of the 5th grade classes.…

Jackie Robinson once said “This ain't fun but watch me get it done”. I had always been at a small school my entire life until seventh grade, when I decided to change schools. I was the new kid, and I didn’t know anyone, and nobody knew me, but I made friends in that two years of middle school. I had never been through a transition like that in my entire life, but when I am older I can look back on it and say that I did it.…

“Skrt skrt!” The brand new 2003 minivan door slowly slid closed as my mom held my hand. My first day of kindergarten started walking through the rocky terrain up to Jacobson Elementary School on a hot, summer morning. Prepared with my lunch box full of goodies and plaid backpack weighing me down, I walked through the gates to the kindergarten playground. My mom helped me find the girl I met on “Meet the Teacher Night” and stayed close by as we played in the ant-infested, wood chip playground. Then suddenly, in the middle of making a wood chip pancake, the bell rang as if it was taunting me, I knew what was about to happen and so did my mother as I watched her face droop more and more as the bell rang it’s three chimes. My mom walked with me to the wall my teacher designated as the wall to line up on. My hand started to constrict around my mother’s as we approached the wall, as we got closer my knuckles began to turn white. My teacher, Mrs. Priest, announced it was time for the parents to leave.…

Ten years old is rough for kids, but what happened to me made those pre-teen years even worse. My parents had been divorced for two years when the unthinkable happened, my dad announced he was getting remarried. I was introduced to the woman named Melissa and her daughter Audrey, but I was unaware that the joining of the two families would impact my life forever. Though the road was not easy, Melissa helped me discover who I was meant to be, and the things she taught me affect me everyday.…

I was the kind of guy who always strove in order to get the highest grades but yet hadn’t decided what to do in the future. I wasn’t worried, I knew someday I would find something in what I was good at. I got to live with that thought for some time until I got to attend middle school, where I stopped worrying about my grades and managed only to pass the subjects. I spent most of my time sleeping due to the frustration of not knowing what to do in the future. Most of my middle school experience was tasteless. I hadn’t friends at all, and teachers used to discourage their students about their future. “You're not going to college, you’ll not be able to do it because you’re poor” used to say, Mrs. Vazquez, the math teacher who instead of giving her class, talked on how much his son had accomplished in college and how we would not be able to attend. That was about to change.…

Time for school! Time for school! Are you excited? There was once a time when I was excited about going to school. I use to organize all of my school supplies trying to make sure I had everything that I needed. And I even use to pick out my own school clothes the night before, anxious to put them on. There were times when I thought that I’d oversleep, so I would sleep in my school clothes so that I could be already dressed and ready to go. My elementary school years were the most exciting for me though. I actually use to look forward to going to my school. Loughman Oaks Elementary was the school I attended and no one could tell me that it wasn’t the absolute best school in the world. Loughman Oaks use to have this ceremony called “Outdoor…
