Personal Narrative: Representation Of Minorities In Film

This past summer, I took a workshop where I went through the film making process, wrote several scripts, and made one into a video. Last year, I took a film class where I learned about aspects of film and how to write a screenplay. Where I may lack in experience compared to others, I believe I make up for it in my values and determination.
I have always wanted to be a writer, I just never knew what kind until I started to realize the lack of representation of minorities in film. I believe that there should be equal representation and proper representation of minorities or groups of people in movies. I want to create strong protagonists who are members of a minority group, may it be LGBTQI+ , people of color, women, or all of the above.
