Personal Narrative: My Interview With Dr. Dale Casamatta
For my networking assignment I chose to interview Dr. Dale Casamatta. As my biology professor, I felt that I could overall learn the most from him, hoping to be a potential nursing student. In addition, Dr. Casamatta, is my favorite teacher so far based solely off how interested he seems to be in informing his students properly and how entertaining he makes the subject. Being in his class, makes me appreciate the subject more and makes me feel as though I have something to prove, which is I felt that he was the best option for my interview.
My initial reaction to interviewing one of my professor was straight up terror and fear. To me, talking to an authoritative figure is the worst thing that could ever possibly happen. However, I knew that this both important to my grade and my overall college experience so I had to complete what was expected of me.
Once I decided what need to be done and who I was going to interview, I had to choose a date and time. My original meeting

One difference that was noted was that a lot more information is being taught now compared to when he was a student because many more discoveries have been made and it is important the student of today are aware of the findings. Other than that, everything is basically the same for me as it was for him as he says. He explained to me that science during his college experience was actually a little difficult for his as well and it took him a bit to find the right strategy to do well in his difficult classes so he understood as to where I was currently. Also, learning from his college experience, lead to him teaching at the collegiate level because it allows for him to teach what he deems important and doesn’t provide restrictions as to how he has to teach his students. This method, he feels help to provide his student with a better understanding of the material, which is why I enjoy his

Also, since there are not many African American in her field, therefore, she is one of the older African American women that became a part of the laboratory and the medical department.…

7If there was one piece of advice I could take away from the interview. It would be just to remember him as a professor. The lessons, the homework, the class core components in Missouri Connections. Above and beyond, the list as a whole, took a positive hit, with what I have gained in over recent memory. Concluding him in the interview it found it inevitably rare two or more, individuals, with same interests, and careers. it’s usually “many paths one you”, a phrase he gave me in class, but it seems the other way…

The partner I chose to interview was Caitlin Hanning. On Tuesday, the first day of school, we happened to sit by each other and out of laziness we chose to just interview each other instead of finding someone across the room. I found out through the interview it was both of our first year at BPCC, and we had similar majors, although while she is majoring in OT I am majoring in OTA. I also found out that her nickname is "Granny", which is hilarious to me. Why someone thought she deserved that nickname is a mystery to me, but it’s certainly unique.…

Hospital Internship: Eight hours a week I travel to Catawba Valley Medical Center where I shadow nurses in the oncology unit. Thus far in my internship I have been given a first hand look into the various jobs that make up the oncology department, how medications are administered and what their purposes are, patient care techniques, etc. This internship has not only allowed me to explore my intense interest for the study of oncology but radiology as well seeing as how I am able to rotate between the two units depending on the day. I have also gained an extensive knowledge through observations at the infusion center located downstairs when I travel with patients who are receiving treatment.…

When I was asked to interview a Psychology Professor in order to get to know the Psychology Department better, and to broaden my knowledge in the field of Psychology, I was very excited. Psychology was never offered as a class at my high school, and all that I know about Psychology I learned from my mother. As much as I was very excited to get to know about Psychology and a Psychology Professor, I was a little nervous about meeting and talking with a professor who I had never met before. I built up the guts and courage and emailed Professor McIntyre and asked her if she would be willing to meet with me. She was delighted to meet with me, but could only interview over the phone because she needed to be home with her new baby girl. I would like…

People are like clay in the process of being sculpted, always changing and never be the same afterwards. We age, learn and grow everyday of our lives. Sometimes we experience events that change us in some way and we can look back on that event and recognize a difference before and after that moment. A life-changing experience that greatly contributed to forming the person I am today occurred during a three day confirmation retreat. I was born and raised Catholic, so it was expected that I would do Confirmation, and up until that point, I had been mostly passive about it before, seeing it as simply another after school activity.…
