Personal Narrative: My First Las Vegas Concert
I didn’t have the best time before arriving to the concert. I left my house at 6pm, but instead of going straight to the Cosmopolitan, I had to pick up some friends. One of them lived on the east side of Las Vegas. That person wasn’t even ready by the time I arrived. In result, we were late. The concert began at 8pm and we had gotten there just a few minutes before the opening act. Waiting in line was worst part of my night though. The tickets were relatively cheap at a total of $40.40. Even though I am not a rock person, my friends told me that this band wasn’t bad. I also found out that they were classified as “alternate rock.”
Walking into the concert, I didn’t have much expectations because I wasn’t familiar with this band at all, or so

It was just a boring day in my hometown, a traditional, weak entrance a lot of narrative stories use to try to get the attention of the readers. This story, however, isn’t one of those traditional stories; this one involves a day that had been exciting up to that point already. The memory that resonates daily throughout my mind would have to be the time when I went to Six Flags for the first time in my life. Before I jump into my story, I should tell you my friends mess with each other a lot, almost to the point where we get into fights with each other.…

I showed up too late to experience his opening acts. When I found myself at the top of the hill, looking down at the stage, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement. The stage was covered with fog, behind an enormous white screen, and there was music playing while we waiting for Kid Cudi to make his entrance. Once the lights turned down, the crowd grew quiet in anticipation.…

Although I am beginning to appreciate classical music more, I personally enjoy music with words more than music without words. When songs have words I pay more attention trying to figure what the storyline is behind the song. I am very into music all genres such as, pop, country, rock, reggae, and so on. I am open to listening to anything new, which is why I enjoy going to different music events such as this block party. Overall, I enjoyed this performance very much and I am glad I got to see such a great band perform for free, thanks to Utica College. I wish I could have listened to more but I am glad I got to hear a few musical selections before the event was…

The opening act for her was an artist by the name of RAHBI, he was amazing. His vocal range and performance was out of this world, I had to meet him. Once the concert was over he was in the lobby doing a meet and greet while selling a few of his cd’s. When the crowd finally left I was able to make my move to meet him and ask a couple of questions. I told him how much I enjoyed his show and told him about what I wanted to do in the music industry, he gave me a little of advice and told me to add him on Facebook. I added him and he began inviting me to all of his…

I went on a trip to Las Vegas for Christmas one year and it was a trip that I would never forget. When we arrived in Las Vegas we stayed in the Luxor Hotel. The Luxor in Las Vegas is a good place to go because of the luxury of the hotel, the exquisite food, and magnificent entertainment. I enjoyed staying in the famous Luxor hotel and Casino. The concert was somewhat as I expected to be. The concert was so formal and organized. . Even though I had some prejudgments about the concert at first, I enjoyed listening to these pieces live. I will try to attend future classical music concerts. There were some parts where the management team could have done better. The artist demonstrated dynamics, technique, harmony and togetherness beautifully. Before leaving the concert hall I was able to speak briefly with some of the musicians, they were very helpful in answering my questions about the…

I had departed early on Thursday for my descent back to the cold chilly city of Pittsburgh. During the day, my friend who attends Duquesne University in downtown invited me to a night on the town with her and her friends to go to the 3Lau concert at Club Diesel. Usually the club is over 21 on every night, but Thursday’s are different you only have to be 18 years of age or older. Whenever she announced that 3Lau would be performing there, I became too enthusiastic and eager. I had witnessed them once before and they were remarkable, so I immediately agreed to go with them.…

This was second time I listen to a Jazz concert in our school. Our players always keep a high quality of performance. Besides this relaxed type of performance I also used to go to Chopin’s symphony and other different kind of operas. Listen to a concert performed in the school and played by our schoolmates seems to be more joyful and comfortable. Our players might do not have a professional techniques or organized as the technical symphony orchestra. But their enjoyable and love of music are same which can bring our audience into their atmosphere and move our body along with their playing.…

I remember the day vividly: the sizzling of food frying, children yelling, my tears running, it was the first time I adventured to Six Flags. The uneasiness of my stomach while swaying tens of feet from the ground on the Texas Giant petrified the adventurous spirit out of me. However, I did not realize that moment `would shape the next eight years of life, emerging in my memory at every unfamiliar experience I faced. It was my senior year when I declined an invitation to go camping with my friends an epiphany struck me. How many of these opportunities was I going to skip out on due to my reluctant manner?…

My first trip to Las Vegas was the worst plane trip every, I had experienced all types of emotions from Norfolk to Dallas. In Norfolk my flight was delayed due to the weather, then another two hour delay in Dallas. All I wanted was to get to Vegas. On my flight I sat beside a man who never been on a plane. This guy behavior was the worst. I tried to convince him to read, listen to music or drink. I even tried to start a conversation to calm him down. My friends were laughing they knew my patience was running out. I was thinking to myself knocking him out. We enter into a storm the thunder and lightning was bad the sounds silence the whole flight. The Pilot came on and informed us we are in Dallas unable to land due to the weather. Looking out…

The clock above my head ticks slowly, the sound ever increasing as the minutes pass by; tick, tick, tick. I normally do not notice the time while I work, usually I am the energizer bunny of workers, in early, out late, always working or willing to, but that day was different; I had a date; a first date to be exact. Finally the time has come for me to go home; I step out into the warm Vegas air, I can smell the familiar scents of fall slowly encroaching on the city. September in Vegas is typically warm, with the average daily temperatures in the upper nineties. I lite a cigarette and walk through the parking garage to my car. My mind was racing; what will he be like, will he be funny, boring; I even allow my thoughts to drift to what he would look like naked.…

A time I wish I had spoke up as a leader was a couple of months ago when a past concert band member wanted to be apart of marching band. This individual had not attended band camp, which is a requirement if you want to be in marching band. The individual had family issues which prevented him from attending. Once school started he went to the first football with us and played the show music during class. I thought there would be an exception due to his circumstances of not being able to attend. Later I found out that leadership and our band director would decide whether or not he would be included in our show. His drill spot had been written, now it was just if he was committed and be able to. I thought he deserved a chance, so I wanted to help him. I figured our band director would too. But at the same time, our…

I went straight back to practicing because the concert would come to me in a blink of an eye. My heard was beating so hard it felt like someone was pounding hammer on my chest, I was shaking, sweating, disey, everything you could possibly imagine I felt like I was about to faint. Guitar has been one of they most important things in my life since I first started at age 6 and it just started to come naturally. I was doing great while practicing and had finally nailed every song I played. Playing up on this stage with this band would soon decide my future, if I fail I could never get this chance again and if I do good I could soon be playing all the time, my dream would come true. I had always had my own band with my friends since a young age and we were good but had never played on a stage, and if I were to do good at the concert my band also could start to become…
