Personal Narrative: My Experience As A Personal Assistant To Kristen Karlisch
I acted as a personal assistant to Kristen Karlisch, co-founder of Steven Karlisch photography. In general, I assisted Kristen with any work she needed extra help with. My job included running errands to office supply retailers to maintain a productive office environment. I also helped package finished products, address them and mail them.

It was fun working with Wendi since she was so open to different ideas and suggestions. When we were looking through our script to find beats, it was easy for us to find tactics, titles and objectives since each of us felt comfortable asking each other for help and took our time making sure everything worked. While she has had a lot of work to do with midterms and other classes, she never made me feel nervous or guilty for asking her questions about the script or getting together outside of class even when she was busy. Thankfully, she was very reliable since she was so well organized that she would always be prepared for and even finish assignments long before they were due. Even when I felt I was being a bit controllative or judgemental,…

I was already going insane from the deaths of my father in November 2006 and my grandma in July 2008. Therefore, I was not able to cope with their three deaths at once.…

My heart is pounding in my chest as I am in complete awe as I realize that finally she is coming. It is one of the most thrilling events that has ever happened to me in my entire life. I don’t think one can ever be completely ready for what I was about to endure as well as the pain my body was about to be put through. The pain begins to become more alarming as stronger waves of torment flows throughout my body down to the deepest core of my being. I have to say no matter how many books or classes I have taken, nothing could prepare me for what was about to happen next. It is not something that one could ever be mentally qualified for until it is actually happening. Fourteen hours of agonizing discomfort and yet we are still waiting for her to enter into this nonsensical, yet wonderful world. At that moment, I realize once she arrives she will be completely dependent on me.…
