My father, a pharmaceutical representative, taught me to work hard at everything I do which has benefitted me throughout my academic career. If I ever hit a blockade and wanted to give up, he would always say, “You have to finish what you started.” During freshman year, I took Pre-AP Geometry which was a challenging course to me, and after my first test I thought I wasn’t going to pass the class. However, instead of giving up in the class and dropping out to an easier class, I worked harder and studied more. At the end of the year, I passed the class with an A. This work ethic has allowed me to succeed more than fail in life. My mother, a realtor, infused in me values and a curiosity of life.
