Personal Narrative: Hurricane Jonas

Imagine being hit with an environmental storm like hurricane Jonas that struck parts of the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast in January of 2016.On the day of the storm, I was hit with another storm that helped me overcome a challenge that affected my life –– Introversion. I was introduced to a tiny five feet ,four inches, gray head, green eyes resident(lady) with a deep controlling voice. Geez, I had never seen or met a resident who knows how to maneuver caregivers as the lady. On her first night with us, she said, “I am not sleeping tonight, I want to see my daughter.” Also, she used wheelchair for mobility, and she needed oxygen at two(2) milliliter per minute for proper ventilation.
