Personal Narrative: How Rameck Changed My Life

We had conquered the toughest obstacles and passed interfering things that tried to break us down. As doctors, our motivation and influences of others helped so much. The bright smiles on our patient's faces made our day. But somehow it all changed. Days after the event happened, caused us to be, let’s just say, we weren’t who we were again. Rameck wasn’t focused on being a doctor. He changed his life into rapping again. And that changed also how our perspective of Rameck was. He’s a respectable guy, but this time it has gone too far. Rameck’s friend was enormous in the music industry, and they started hanging out more in creating …show more content…
Sam and I confronted him, but it made things worse.

Sam and I knew that we should convince him and remind him of how our lives changed and how successful it was around 5 years ago. “I know,” said Sam, “ Your brother Kenny, he’s a good man. Remember when you told us that he gave you a collage of papers and achievements in a pile and it got you to persevere in being a doctor?” “Yeah, man”, replied George,” Marshall, you’re very smart. Lets do the same thing to Rameck.” And that helped us. We got Rameck’s papers. We got everything and prepared our materials. This was the best project I have ever done. All Rameck’s achievements were stapled into groups on a collage and we prayed this would

It has almost become the norm, but it was difficult to read the posts, and peruse the pictures on social media of students gathering around a former convict and infamous drug dealer for a photo opp. The featured speaker is now famous for his name not for his past transgressions in the crack cocaine drug game that began in the early 1980’s. A well-known rap artist, whose real name is William Roberts II, had stolen Rick Ross’s government name to become famous in the rap game as “Freeway Rick Ross”. The essence of a good doctor is their ability to love all without discrimination, to have patience, to listen and to understand their patients in order to find an appropriate treatment. William Carlos Williams embodied this essence. To have experience, to have lost himself in the minds of his patients has given William Carlos Williams the ability to love and care for his patients, which is seen throughout his poetry. As many of us know, life as a physician is hard.…

It was a cold New Years Eve day and Clemson was about to play Ohio State for their chance to claim the fiesta bowl title and also to be able to go back to the college football national championship. I went over to my cousins with my family because we were having a new years party but I really wanted to be by myself because I am a really avid Clemson fan. Kick off was at 7 o’clock pm so I was in the living room ready for the game to begin. The game began and I didn’t leave the couch until halftime and the score was 17-0 Clemson so I was very happy but I still had that nervous feel because the game wasn’t over yet. I got off the couch to get something to eat and came back in and sat down then the game came back on. The game ended around 11 and Clemson won the game with a whopping score of 31-0 and the tigers are headed back to the College Football…

The home I grew up in was not a where, but rather a who. The combination of my parents and my younger sister has been with me since my earliest memories. In my house, however, understood affection was the standard, as my parents were often busy. Both of them work in the healthcare fields and as such worked long, irregular hours. This gave me isolation, possibly a dangerous factor to work with. Yet, without that very isolation, I would be missing the most integral part of who Dylan Sreshta is today.…

When had I thought to become a medical doctor? Perhaps a time when I realized that my beloved grandfather has gone to a remote place means he is in a cold dim ground permanently; or maybe a time when I helped my dog to deliver eight puppies, holding these warm and tender bodies with my tear of joy. There is nothing can compare with the glory of embracing new lives, and celebrating the freedom and happiness await for them.…

I remember I did not even know how many arteries the heart had or the importance of the heart beside pumping blood, but to see people believing in me when I doubted myself made me to be aware that this was the right path for me. I was blessed to get an opportunity to shadow Dr. Victor because it made me realize that I can save many poor children in Ethiopia who can't afford treatment. Later that day, I made a promise to myself that no one would be going to school in Ethiopia with a heart problem, and I said to myself no more “ I can not play or run any…
