personal narrative for college

I woke up one morning with the intention of wanting to do something crazy. Both the timing and the situation were perfect. I called my friends and then told them the plan. At first, they were hesitant but after a little peer pressure, they finally caved in. In a few hours, all of my friends arrived at my house on their bikes. They brought bottled water and granola bars for energy, some money in case of emergency and they were even wearing all black as if we were going to rob a bank. As I led them to the location, the whole time they were so curious to just where I were taking them. But once we got there, they knew exactly where we were going, the North Shore Towers, the tallest buildings on Long Island. I promised them that we were going to find a way to get to the top. It looked impossible at first, but I was determined. I saw that the place was guarded by a security guard, but to the left, was a dark empty golf course. We locked our bikes and hopped the fence onto the property. We walked right into the building but we got some weird looks considering the North Shore Towers is mainly old retired couples and we were a gang of teenagers wearing all black. The bottom floor of the North Shore Towers was set up like a miniature mall. There was a bank, arcade, movie theatre, restaurants, and stores. Once we made it to the elevators, we realized you needed a card to get through the doors, so one of my friends used his Starbucks gift card and we were in the clear. We took the elevator all the way up to the penthouse; we were so high up that my ears actually popped. We walked up a flight of stairs to the top. At the top, there was an emergency door that sounded when opened and a window, we opened the window to get into the roof, we had to go into stealth mode because there were cameras at every corner, and we ended up sneaking around the cameras to the view.
