Personal Narrative Essay On Groceries
When I went to my mom, she asked me what I was doing up there I told her, “nothing we were just talking about something” then she said, “okay, well can you help me with the groceries because there are a lot of it in the car?” I said, “ yeah, sure no problem” as I walk down her car I daydreamed about what if I can go back in time and change the past so I can teach people who struggled the same as I did, what if?

I have worked with Frito-Lay for a little under five years, I am pleased with my progress and I am always striving to be promoted. My boss calls me and wants to meet with me at one of our top account stores named Kroger’s at two o’clock. This meeting is a big deal to me because I want to show the boss that I have been doing my job quite well. I arrive at Kroger’s and proceed in the store, once I am in the store I go to the Frito-Lay display and I see that our product display size has been narrowed down. I panic because it is ten minutes until the time my boss will be arriving. What do I do?…

Managing to break free from my mother’s grasp, I charged. With arms flailing and chubby legs fluttering beneath me, I was the ferocious two year old rampaging through Costco on a Saturday morning. My mother’s eyes widened in horror as I jettisoned my churro; the cinnamonsugar rocket gracefully sliced its way through the air while I continued my spree. I sprinted through the aisles, looking up in awe at the massive bulk products that towered over me. Overcome with wonder, I wanted to touch and taste, to stick my head into industrialsized freezers, to explore every crevice. I was a conquistador, but rather than searching the land for El Dorado, I scoured aisles for free samples. Before inevitably being whisked away into a shopping cart, I…

“It works just as good as the name brand,” my mother would always suggest. As I have matured, I regret to admit that, in most instances, my mother’s notion was right. Consequently, those very words describe my shopping nature. When I think of what kind of shopper I am and how I have developed my shopping habits, there are three factors that are responsible for my consumer behavior. Those factors include my childhood shopping experiences, my knowledge of advertising and marketing, and my persona.…

When I first joined Walmart about six year or so ago, I had to run my store like a mom and pa store. If you don’t know what that mean it is a small town store that runs off of old fashion know how. I would have customers coming into the store yell at me why did not carry an item from there country. My only replay to that at first was we are in America that is why. Them I notice that I was being close minded and need to capture that market that I was missing out on. Being a manager in south Florida area there are about five to seven different type of people from different areas around the world. I have Jamaican, Spanish, and etc so I needed to reach out to the comutinty.so I did through the Walmart’s store of the community program I was able…

After a long while of thinking about what I believe in, I finally found the solution. I believe in cookies. Well, now you’re probably thinking this is some kind of dumb joke and that I’m not being sincere. But, it’s not what you think. Now you’re more than likely waiting for some sort of symbolism about cookies and their delicious, crispy edges. But no, we’re talking real cookies, right out of the oven, fresh off of the cookie sheet.…

In major cities in the United States, citizen`s access to affordable nutritious food has become an emerging issue. Citizens find themselves without healthy options for nutritious food to feed themselves or their children. This is due to physical distance from supermarkets, food affordability, and many other factors. This phenomenon has been defined as a food desert. The Congressional report to the Economic Research Service of the US Department of Agriculture, about 2.3 million people (or 2.2 percent of all US households) live more than one mile away from a supermarket and do not own a car. This lack of transportation in conjunction with many over variables that will be discussed has contributed to this current issue in public health. A lack of healthy options could lead to poor diets and to diet-related conditions such as obesity or diabetes. If low-income households in food deserts can only purchase food at higher prices, they may be more prone to food insecurity—not having enough food for active, healthy living.…

As many of us try to become healthier in this overweight world, we turn to what we perceive is healthier, such as locally grown foods. Although locally grown foods appeal to many as beneficial to the environment and more nutritious, there are many more potent ways to become healthier while improving the environment and economy . The reality is that locally grown food does not significantly reduce the environmental and nutritional effects of food production, and therefore is not notably beneficial to the economy.…

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one…If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!.” Chocolate chip cookies rank third most popular dessert in the USA. In order to enjoy the classic dessert, the baker will need both chocolate chips and cookie dough. Without chocolate chips, I would refer to the dessert as a simple cookie instead of a chocolate chip cookie; in the same way, without the cookie dough, I cannot refer to the chocolate chips as a chocolate chip cookie. Oddly enough, true friendships relate to chocolate chip cookies. Similar to how the chocolate chips and the cookie dough depend on each other to make a classic dessert, people count on each other as well. A close…

I could enter a time machine, I would love to be able to go back in time when I was a child. Taking the knowledge I have now from the life lessons I have experienced, I would definitely be able to change my life and take advantage of things like my parents and a high school education. Your parents try to explain to you the importance of school and an education when you are a child, but it is only after when you become an adult that you realize the value and importance it has and how it will benefit your life and future. I guess you can say as a parent, you are going back in time with your children, except you are hoping that they will learn from your experiences and live their life how you wish you could have.…

I’m sure that everyone at least once in his or her life thought: “If I could go back in time, I would…”. I think every person has something in their past that would want to change: some people regret about mistakes they’ve done, others about things they wanted to do, but didn’t resolve to. Mine would be that if I could go back in time I would pick one of the gifts I am good at and focus on one of them.…
