Personal Narrative Essay On Blue
One Day in October I was part of the black sea of roaring people. With my Scott Podsednik, White Sox jersey I can go back to one of my best memories which sparked a fandom that has and will last till I’m gone. It all started a few days after the Sox punched their ticket to the World Series and my family and I were in our dining room waiting for dad to come home in order to start dinner. He walked in and we welcomed him with our usual excitement as we wanted to tell him about our day. Before we started into our usual talk, he said he has a surprise for us. Sarcastically I said, “You got tickets to the world series”. He responded with a shocking, “Yes”. I couldn’t think right for a couple seconds. Like a math problem, I struggled to comprehend on how he got the tickets. I thought you could only win tickets like that on a radio show or through a lottery. My brother and I looked at each other with wide eyes as to confirm we both heard the same thing. Sure …show more content…
We killed time by taking pictures and visiting the outside sites. Then I got the black jersey that reminds me of this terrific time. My favorite player was Paul Konerko, but I wanted a unique jersey and so I chose the smooth and cool bag swiping left fielder Scott Podsednik. I then put it on and became part of the black sea. It was time to go in and my heart was skipping beats. We were in the air thin nose bleeds of seats, but it didn’t matter as it was amazing that we were there. I could see the Fox pregame show on the side of the field, reassuring me that this was baseball’s biggest stage. I could really feel the chill in the air as the sun was sinking under the lake. The lights were on and made the feel pop with its perfectly groomed green grass and beautiful combed brown dirt. The energy was conducted all around the field and released when the national anthem was amplified across the stadium, signifying the start of the

When you're a kid you would never think of almost dying at sesame place, but that's exactly what happened to me. As my family and I entered the park, my eyes grew with amazement as I looked around me. There were zooming roller coasters, families laughing, toddlers running around with a sugar high from all the cotton candy they ate, and especially the terrifying, enormous, gray and blue water slide, I looked at the slide with fear and excitement in my eyes. I knew right then and there that I was going to go on that slide no matter the consequences.…

I remember that it hurt. It was if someone struck all the air out of my lungs. I tried with all of my might to breathe but it seemed as if I were incapable.I looked for something, anything to hold onto for support. Everyone watched in horror as I sank to the ground and the sob that was stuck in my throat escaped. I was feeling emotions I never felt before, that I didn’t know existed. The two Marines in Dress Blues who stood at attention looked on, their faces mostly emotionless, except their eyes which were filled with pity as they said they were sorry for my loss. My best friend rushed over the office to wrap her arms around my shoulders. The only way she could hold me seeing as I was on my knees crying into my hands. I could feel her sympathy,…

“GET HOME!!! GET HOME!!!” Those were the words my dad would yell from the third base coach’s box as I passed him rounding third! Baseball to me is more than just a game! Baseball is a passion, fueled by the desire to succeed, the passion to overcome, and the dedication to be great. A baseball field to me is like a stage is to a dancer or an open road for a biker; I just love every aspect of this amazing sport. It’s the field with its seemingly unfair depth, its soft green grass and the infamous red dirt, that make me have the passion for the game like my father did as a child. My life seemed to be limitless when I was in between that fence. Taking cuts on the tee, putting together a pickup game that didn’t matter who won or lost, or even on those days that practice seemed to never end, I still had the love for the game.…

All I could see were slow paced bodies walking pass me on the long everlasting hallway, unclear faces, and strange voices echoing in my head. My headed was bottled by all the blurriness and I was waiting to finally wake up. Starting off with the end of eighth grade year is when I realized how much my life would change after one decision. My small group of friends consisted of them being in band. I’ve always been a shy person when it comes to meeting new people which is why I never tried out. I remember seeing posters announcing to come try out for color guard which is a performing arts program during marching season in high school. I had a couple of friends who were convincing me to join since that would mean we would all be in band. My best decision was going to try out and making the team.…

It all started when I let a stylist cover my hair in 40 volume bleach. “Let” is the wrong word, I was 15, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and essentially knew nothing. All i knew was that i wanted to be BLONDER—similar to what my hair looked like when I was about 4 years old. It had been the hay day of emo kids, and when my natural golden locks weren’t really doing anything to help my Myspace photos, I had decided to add red highlights, then chopped it, then blonde highlights with an under-layer of black. Now it was time for more. Needless to say, my catholic school wasn’t too happy about this, but I had already received the punishment of a year’s worth of lunch and recess at the principals office, so there wasn’t much more they could do.…

Fear saturated my very being, with the doctors’ orders echoing in my head, tainting my thoughts for the worse as my eyes reinforced my fear. The tumultuous waves resembled the arm of a violinist, vigorously delivering a musical piece with precision and aggression while still maintaining the tragically beautiful sound the music was predestined to make. The ominous, gray sky was a deep, foreboding bass conjuring deep primal fears. The jet-ski rocked in the shore as it felt the weight of my brother, my sister and myself hopping on and my mind weighed heavy with the possible scenarios that ran through my head, oblivious to the excitement that saturated the air.…
