Personal Narrative Essay: Baseball's Greatest Mistake
Billy stepped up to the plate; the field felt like there was an earthquake due to the fact that the two crowds were so loud that the field appeared to be lightly shaking. He steps in the box the as pitcher winded up and the pitch went pop! The pitch blew right past the catcher’s glove. “Strike one!“ exclaimed the umpire.
“It’s okay,’’ Billy’s dad said. “You can do it.’’
Billy steps back in the box and the pitch comes towards him. Swing! And so there was a miss.
“Strike two!’’ yelled the umpire.
Now Billy is down and he doesn't want to let down his team and his dad in the championship game. He must get a hit. This could be the final pitch in the game… here it comes...

Bang! The crowd went wild! Billy ended up getting struck in the head

So now Billy can't do anything for 5 days he has to not think not have the lights on nothing he is now like a vampire. Billy is now thinking why did I ever play baseball I have always wanted to play football what should I do if I tell dad he will be mad at me because he has always wanted me to play baseball he hates football what do I do! ‘’Son are you ok said dad My head hurts well the doctor said you can’t do anything for a couple of days that means no thinking too hard, and no bright lights. They finally get home they try to talk it out again then dad finally gives up he said” you know what son you have one chance next spring when try outs start.” Yes thank you so much dad” Billy said.

Now next spring at try outs “Here is the list of the team!” the coach proclaimed. “Jon, Justin, Emilio, Eric, Dylan, Kyle, Sam, Owen, Gio, and last but not least… Brian. That’s our team, and thank you all for coming.” Wait! Another coach walked up to the head coach and whispered “That’s the wrong name. It’s Billy, not Brian.”
The last player is “Billy,” the head coach amended.
“Yes!” Billy shouted cheerfully. He looked at his dad with excitement and said “Dad, I did it!”
A few months later in the football season, Billy’s team was down by a field goal on the fifty yard line with only a minute left and only 1 time-out having occurred.
“Down, set, hike!” and the long bomb went to Jon, an d it's caught. Timeout, timeout! Now down to 30 seconds with no timeouts; on the 30 yard line. They could go for the tie or nothing at all. “Blue 42, blue 42, down, set,
