Personal Narrative: Dinner With Taylor Stoker
I would like to have dinner with Taylor Stoker because from reading her what she wrote about her personality test and about herself she seems like a sweet person. I also put others before myself like Taylor, and I can be impulsive sometimes, so I think we have a lot in common. I also love a good book and commend you for doing volunteer work.

I also would like to have dinner with Ethan Garcie because I feel we have a lot in common. even though I don't major in math, I love math and I love traveling. It is so awesome to hear about how you have been to all fifty states and 23 countries. It is my dream to travel the world so I know we would have a lot to talk about if we had dinner. I agree that the discover is a great personality type to have.

Hope solo is one of the best goalkeepers in history and that would be a big honor to meet her. I would compliment her on her writing technique and how well organized the book was. The organization helped me find things easier. Secondly, I would congratulate her on overcoming the thought life she's had and how she's worked so hard to get where she was today. For example, if I was in her situation I would just flip out on everyone who would yell at me or be rude or unkind. I give Hope great respect for all she has gone tho.…

Throughout my life I have encountered many circumstances that have shaped me into the person I am today. I was born in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico. I attended school in Mexico all the way to second grade. In the summer of 2006 I moved to Cumming, Georgia. It was the hardest thing to do because I left everything that I care the most about. We lived in a trailer which was not the nicest place and in the middle of the forest. I started school at the beginning of August. I had always loved school so I was so excited for the first day. I knew it was going to be hard because I would have to conquer so many obstacles on the way. At this time the only English I knew was probably counting from one to ten and some of the colors. My Father knew some…

As a Chinese-American, my family expected me to help out at the restaurant while maintaining straight A's in school. But, it wasn't easy; every day, I would report to the restaurant after school and immediately start working. Inside the kitchen, I would pack all the orders into aluminum containers, place them into a brown bag, and insert packets of sauces and utensils. Burns and cuts were common due to the terrible and tearable aluminum containers. Outside at the front desk, I would answer the seemingly endless ringing phones. In many instances, customers had to wait either on the phone or at the front desk for me to find their orders on the computer, even after they showed me where it was on the menu. During lunch hours, the pressure was even…

My greatest influences are my parents and my brother. My brother suffered from Guillain- Barre Syndrome when he was eight. My parents and my brother devoted their few years completely for his treatment. Today, my brother is a successful engineer working in the bay area. I learned that with dedication, determination and diligence we can achieve our dream in life…

I always keep this poem and picture in my wallet. I take it everywhere with me because it means quite a lot to me in two very different ways. One of those ways is because it holds sentimental value. When I was younger I learned to read very late in life and I was always so embarrassed of that. My father knew that I was struggling and bought me the book, Where the Sidewalk Ends. It is a book full of poems and little pictures written by Shel Silverstein. I remember opening the book to ta random page, and it was the page with this poem. I then remember my dad asking me to read it to him. I was so uncomfortable, even thought I was just going to be reading to my dad. He gave me some words of encouragement, and even thought I was not able to read…

My mother, “Regina Hopkins,” has been a positive influence in my life. She has raised 6 kids all by herself as well as earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a City College in Gainesville, Florida. My mother has been through pretty much everything a person can go through outside of war and was still able to be there and provide for all 6 of her kids. In high school, my mother wanted to play football and couldn't because she was a girl and back-in-the-day women were not allowed to play football with the guys. However, she remained strong by raising 6 kids and independently took care of all of us on her own. My mother has several qualities that I would love to develop. The first quality she has is balance; she certainly knows how to make…

During the past four years of attending Newark High School, working on MLA format was something teachers worked very hard on to teach students. Every essay written by each student had to be correctly written in MLA format or else you would fail a writing assignment. This has been taught since the start of Freshmen year of school. There was no way around this rule. From just graduating High School, I am very experienced with writing essays. In many different classes we had to write essays. We did not just write essays in English. Students had to write essays in Math, Biology, Psychology, French, History, Government, and many more classes.…

Mr Obama is also the first African American in office, he was even the senator for Illinois’ I believe Barak Obama is a great role model and he has a numerous amount of respect in the U.S.A.…
