Personal Narrative: Bravo Company
I genuinely feel that I could serve the Corp best as the CO of Bravo Company or 1st sergeant of Bravo Company. There are multiple reasons why I am the best qualified for either of these positions. The first reason is that I have a passion for Bravo company, and I will always be loyal in doing what is best for Bravo company and the Corp. Second is I have a very determined personality and when I am given a task I will do everything within my power to go out of my way to complete the task at hand to the best of my ability. A personal story that proves the kind of drive and determination that I have is I started wrestling in 5th grade and the end goal was always to be a state champion wrestler in high school. My freshman year I didn’t even qualify for sectionals and sophomore year I qualified for state, but I only one match. …show more content…
My junior year I worked harder then I had ever had at achieving my end goal, I would go to the high school practice, then I would go to club practice after that, and then when I went home I would watch wrestling videos to improve my technique. Overall, my determination and drive paid off that year, as I became the first wrestling state champion from Chelsea high school. My third reason that I am most qualified I have held multiple leadership positions throughout my life and I know what it takes to be a successful leader, and I have those traits, which were listed earlier, that have and will make me a successful leader for Bravo company and the Corp. These are the three core reason why I believe I am best fit for the two positions of Bravo Company CO or 1st sergeant of Bravo

Now this is where I`m supposed to write “all about me”. This is where I become lost. I mean, come on. I wouldn`t know where to start. But I guess the best way to have an idea what makes me tick and what ticks me off is by checking my journal that i fill with endless ramblings about whatever and whoever catches my fleeting fancy or rage. :)…

My personal mission statement is to be the best that I can be and work hard to help others be the best they can be. This statement is important to me because I have always found that I am at my best when I am helping people, whether its helping people at my job or at the grocery store. There are many things that fall into place with that, which to me, mainly includes education, because I am a student and I work in a college where I work with students and I listen to their problems and relate to them. So education is very important in general, but to me Community and Industry Education is very important and important to a lot of people. Throughout my life I have encountered many circumstances that have shaped me into the person I am today. I was born in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico. I attended school in Mexico all the way to second grade. In the summer of 2006 I moved to Cumming, Georgia. It was the hardest thing to do because I left everything that I care the most about. We lived in a trailer which was not the nicest place and in the middle of the forest. I started school at the beginning of August. I had always loved school so I was so excited for the first day. I knew it was going to be hard because I would have to conquer so many obstacles on the way. At this time the only English I knew was probably counting from one to ten and some of the colors. My Father knew some…

A personal quality that is important to me is my willingness to try new things. This quality did not surface until I graduated high school-- I felt somewhat restricted during those years. After my first semester at community college the eagerness to explore new activities, and learn about new topics began to appear. Because of this quality-- a quality that can sometimes hide amongst the rest-- I would not have discovered by passion for my desired major.…

Walking into the locker room about to get ready to go to our last football game of the season. I could smell the sweaty equipment from the kids who never take their pads home. The Hempfield Spartans 7th grade team would be ending their season 0-7 if we didn’t win today. As I was changing into my pads my friend mike walked in the room. I said “you ready for tonight”. “Heck yeah” replied Mike.…

Humans are not just specks in the universe. Our lives have purpose, and we have to make a decision every day to pursue that purpose. All too often people diminish the impact a single person can make by rationalizing that our lives represent less than a blink of an eye in the greater scheme of eternity. However, our actions, words, and accomplishments do not die with us. We leave a legacy that impacts others. And this inspired me to create a senior project that would last even after I graduated. I not only wanted to create a project that left a positive impression on my community, but also changed my heart to focus on others. Ultimately, I decided to create the 365 Venture, where I committed to volunteering 365 hours in the year 2016 and document…

Today was the day. The big day. My election for Lieutenant Governor of Division 2B for Key Club, an international service club, was today. Fear and anxiety pricked my skin in rapid movements emanating from every pore. I rehearsed my speech for the fifth time that day. Upon arrival at the Fairfax Library, I urged myself to remain calm. I quickly scouted out the other girls who were present; one girl was dressed professionally with a folder in her hand. I knew that was my competition. The girl spoke eloquently and genially, she radiated enthusiasm and a certain warmth that I did not have. With every question that was asked, she answered with a smooth smile and high-pitched tone that was dripping with sincerity. I bristled inside; I had just been slapped. I was shrouded in a cloud of anxiety and anxiousness. Suddenly, I was dragged from my reverie.…

This week reminded me how amazing and important my job is. Friday was a busy day at the office; I was rushing to finish my work so I could leave on time. As I was about to leave I received a phone call from a hiring manager (Mark) with NOAA. Mark had questions about the interview process and was calling to speak to one of my colleagues. Unfortunately, my colleague was on vacation and wouldn’t be back for another week. I looked at the clock and realized it was time to go but I could hear the frustration in Mark’s voice. Instead of leaving, I spent almost an hour listening to Mark’s concerns, answering his questions, and I explained how the federal hiring process works. At the end of our conversation, Mark thanked me for my time and he told me…
