People Should Be Required To Vote

Voting is a necessary obligation of a U.S. citizen because by voting you are voicing your opinion about who you believe should be the leader of our nation. By voting you are expressing your hard earned rights as an American. You are also letting the government know what your thoughts and opinions are when it comes to the matter you are voting on because the government looks to you as an individual when it comes to electing the next leader of our country. Not all people have always had the privileges to go out and vote. Women and non-white males have not always been eligible to vote, so by voting they are showing the sacrifices and obstacles that they have overcome to now voice their opinions by being able to vote. Voting does this by helping to pick the next representative in the government as well as allowing the citizens to choose certain things that the government can and cannot do. Voting is very important in everybody's life because it controls what our future is going to be in many aspects of the country. If you want to have a good job then you need to go out and vote for the things that are going to keep allowing you to have a good job to support your family. Not only do you need to vote if you want a good job, but you also need to vote if you want your kids to be able to attend a school that is beneficial to them and gives them the best education that they can possibly have. When you vote you are also canceling out somebody else's vote who is different from you, so in order to get the vote you want then you need to vote to help cancel out the votes that are different from your own.
