I don’t think I liked any of the chapters but of course the one that drew the most attention to me was number 4. Nobody choses to be born in a rich family and trust me nobody choses to be born a poor family. It’s all based on pure luck. It is such a shame that Tammy has such little support from her own family, society has created useless labels that we seem to must have, in order to live a decent life. Why is Tammy’s son so ashamed of their humble home? Why is he ashamed of how Tammy dresses? Because society has taught us that you MUST own a nice middle class home, you need to look gorgeous at all times, don’t you dare to not put make up on, wear your designer clothes, and live the so call American dream. Pearls are one of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry, it is not a secret that before actually getting the pearl you must find the oyster that has it, and clean it up real good since it’s covered in layers of Nacre, they have a pearl that they don’t’ want to clean up. What surprised me the most was how strong tammy’s love for her children is, not only they never help her out but are constantly reminding her how low and useless she is and high and better they are. Why doesn’t tammy just get a better paying job? First thing I noticed was that tammy has no teeth so that kills all customer service jobs, she has no car therefore no mobility so it needs to be a job nearby, overall this video made me angry, not only at those ungrateful kids but also at myself. I take so many things for granted, I have learned how to base my life in material stuff, and meaningless things that once I die will not take with me. It is once we have already lost something when we actually start realizing how much it was worth.
