Peace Corps Scholarship Essay
Lately, as I think about my life, I keep asking myself “ What’s next? “ . What can I accomplish? . So far, I am blessed to achieve all I want to achieve. I am not saying everything always went smoothly, but I am grateful and humbled to see that I had achieved the goals I have set up for myself. Thanks to my very supportive family members I have checked marked on almost most of my to-do list expects being a Peace Corps volunteer. The first time I applied for the Peace Corps was right after I finished my undergraduate Studies. I was looking for my purpose. Confused and uncertain about my future. But now I would like to think my age and my educational experience has clarified if not all but most of my confusion. Now I know what my purpose is: it is to use my personal experience and my education to create a sustainable environment. An environment that even after I leave can thrive and that is why I choose to become a Peace Corps volunteer. Working with Peace Corps is about building that environment. …show more content…
I found myself being financial secure, but not satisfied. I wanted more, I wanted to be in the area that I can see my skills and educational experience make an impact not only in my life but the people around me. I want to leave not just for myself. That feeling is what drives me to look back into the Peace Corps. I believe that the years I will serve as a peace core volunteer will bring me the satisfaction I’m looking for in my life. The feeling that I am working beyond myself. I know as a Peace Corps volunteer I will be placed in an environment that will be outside my comfort zone and that it self brings me an excitement. I believe that being a Peace Corps volunteer is not just about different opportunity but it’s about building a global community and sharing
