Parking At Asu Research Paper
Parking at ASU

ASU parking is the biggest issue facing the students drivers. First of all, parking at ASU benign problem for me before anyone that I asked them about it. First issue, it not free for the students also, it’s expansive too. If you will park your car for 2 hours, you should pay $4, so $2 each hour. There are many colleges and university make their parking for free for the students like MCC Mesa community college, or at least they should make a discount for the student. I prefer If ASU make the parking for free, they should put something in the parking gate that can’t open if you don’t carry ASU ID.

Moreover, the locations of the parkings are not that good it’s far from the university , so that will effect

A negotiation between Iowa City and The University of Iowa for students to purchase a parking permit for public parking garages would be a huge step in student parking on campus. Ideally, students are just looking for a convenient location to park their vehicle and have a guaranteed spot at a reasonable price. To distribute more permits, students would be assigned a specific parking garage as well as a specific spot. Right now, students have to pay about an average of $0.66 for every hour in the parking garage (ICGOV). I believe that students would be more willing to buy a pass if the location was near central campus, easy to access, and has unlimited usage. Being a student on campus, I know I would.…

Dr. Marty Starr, SWU’s president, has asked University Planning Committee to see how they can solve this problem. Based on traffic projections, Dr. Starr would like to have sufficient capacity so that 35,000 cars per hour can be accommodated to travel from the newly-built stadium to the interstate highway. Anticipating this problem, some of the current streets leading from the university to the interstate highway were transformed to one-way streets on a temporary basis, since the problem will only occur after the games. This will be done with police officers directing traffic after each game.…

A more accessible campus where parking is not a problem is every college students’ dream. The reality is that college enrollment is increasing, while the number of parking spaces remain the same. College students often arrive to campus about thirty minutes before the start of class with the hope of obtaining a decent parking space. However, most of the time, the effort of getting to school extra early results in the school's inability to notice the extent to which the problem is occurring. There are students who have to work before coming to class, as a result, those particular students do not have the option of getting to the campus early. After battling traffic en route to campus, the next issue to deal with is parking further away, which can result in students being late to class. Students can be seen roaming campus parking lots looking for a spot as well as following peers around the lots with the intention of obtaining a closer spot. If a decent parking spot is unavailable, students are forced to park in a lot farther from class, in a faculty lot, in a deserted dark parking lot which is dangerous in and of itself, or on the street where there is a possibility of getting a ticket. Students should be able to focus solely on class, and not have to worry if there will be a ticket on the windshield after leaving class. There needs to be additional parking on campus made for those visiting the campus and…

Parking is also really hard at the tourist places like waikiki. "For instance… drive down to Waikiki to swim at “The Wall”. There is a parking lot close to it – and it’s packed every weekend, and weekdays too unless you get there before about 9 am. There are parking meters. You’ll get just 10 minutes for 1 quarter (or less now). There is a maximum of 2 or 3 hours you can stay before the meter runs out. If you happen not to remember the meter is running out as you’re bodyboarding, bodysurfing, surfing, sunning, or whatever you’re doing – you’ll get a $35 parking ticket the very instant the meter expires because there are meter-maids camped-out at that parking lot trying to earn their daily pay. The parking situation in town is quite bad, and you should expect to pay every time you park. You won’t have to – but, if you expect it – and then do not have to pay sometimes – you’ll be in a better mood. Oh, one more thing – if you park on private property – your vehicles will be towed very quickly –…

To begin, the issue of parking isn't a big deal to me personally, but I've heard so many students and professors speak and complain about it that I think it's high time something was done to fix the problem. For example, this is a college, which means that students ranging from seventeen years of age and higher, come to this school seeking a higher education. Most of these students have cars, but, this school doesn't provide any parking for these students. So that means, that they must circle around the block about three times on a good day and about ten times on a bad day, until they find parking. Do you believe that's fair? This causes students to be late for class and to miss important parts of the lecture. Now, on the other hand, teachers do have a parking area, but the parking is about ten blocks away, this of course isn't a problem if it's seventy to eighty degrees outside, but when the weather is cold, do you really think that people want to get out of their warm cars just to go out into the blistering cold, or when it's 100 plus degrees outside, do you think people want to come out of their comfortably cool cars, and sweat in the New Jersey summer heat?…

Public utilities need a parking infrastructure that can function efficiently and be integrated with the other urban city utilities. Economic development sees parking as a tool to support current economic activity and as incentive to attract new businesses. Safety and security departments see parking and its prerequisite enforcement as, just that, a requirement, albeit it is a low priority requirement that can divert that department from its higher priority function. Many parking facilities in India are not effectively managed because of haphazard method of parking adopted by motorists that park according to convenience rather than utilizing bays systematically. This has caused jams at busy spots leaving other parking spaces free. This calls for a Parking Management System that can be used assign bays to the motorists in a systematic and consistent manner so as to avoid traffic jams at busy spots. The inability of motorists to identify parking bays at a specific facility in the shortest time possible would, significantly, contribute to fatigue in operating the vehicle. Moreover, some motorists that fail to find parking space tend to park vehicles illegally on shoulders or pavements which would likely result in unsafe conditions.…
