Palm Springs Spring Vacation
Palm Springs, California has been a vacation home and party city for many years now, despite the heat people still flock over here to vacation and heres why! The name of the town comes from the Hot Springs found in the Indian Canyon. The ancestors of this lovely town are known as Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Today the town is split up among the natives and everyone else. There are a lot of areas where the land is referred to as “Indian Land’ and they have full rights to do whatever they please. But a little into the future, in 1886, Dr. Welwood Murray had constructed the first hotel named “The Desert Inn.” This created a lot of tourism and even put the town on the map as a known tourist spot. Many movie stars and famous people would purchase homes as a “hideaway” from the fame. The town used to and still is the place to go for spring break. Now a days you can visit the many pool parties held in the hotels. Wet n’ Wild is a water park for family and friends to visit and opens right before many schools begin their spring break. Today many popular events are held in the town such as Coachella Fest and Stage Coach. Not listed in order but every year the strip closes down for many small festivals held in …show more content…
It is very hard to miss it. Many of the stores located on the strip are opened longer due to the event so you can enjoy your time there even more. The booths range from art to food, live music, and even henna tattoos. It is very easy to find someone you are interested in while visiting because there is at least 200 booths placed around the strip. Currently there is a lot of construction going on but it doesn't seem to be a bother to the people enjoying their time here; it has not changed the flow for the vendors either. There is a shopping mall, a hotel and condos currently in the process of being built right

Chino Hills saw its first use back in 1771 as land used for grazing cattle that belonged to the San Gabriel Mission until being sold to Richard Gird in 1848 after Mexico ceded it to the United States. The city began to see a population growth in the early 1920’s when both a mineral springs and a country club were both built in the city. The mineral springs were built in an area of the city known as sleep hollow otherwise known as carbon canyon. The springs became a getaway from the big city and soon saw small dwellings being built around it. In the 1960’s the springs became a constant hang out for hippies and many permanent houses were built during that time to accommodate those that would hang out there. Unfortunately today they springs are no longer open but many of the houses still remain. The Los Serranos country club was opened in 1925 which allowed members to buy small lots of land around the club on which many members would build cabanas or casitas for weekend getaways which led to future more permanent housing.…

During my time in Colorado, I discovered that Estes Park is one of the most interesting tourist towns I have visited. During the week my youth group was in Colorado, we set one day aside to tour the city and the downtown area. All ten of us went to several ice cream shops and sampled ice cream of all varieties. After the ice cream, Abby and I checked out a saltwater taffy shop; the shop has used the same recipe for over one hundred years. Between breaks at shops to eat delicious food, we went into the souvenir shops and observed many things: t-shirts, hats, postcards and all kinds of key chains. Besides the mountains and the rivers, I have to say that the best attraction in Estes Park is the Stanley Hotel. The Stanley Hotel is commonly known as the hotel from Stephen King’s The Shining. Also, the filming of Dumb and Dumber took place at the Stanley Hotel. Our group toured a small section of the vast hotel, but the staff would not allow us to a full tour unless we paid a…

In addition, the festival pertained of people bringing in their classic cars to see which car was the best. What shocked me was that men worked months in order to prepare their cars for this festival. They had trophies for the best classic car contest up to 20th place so one can just imagine how many cars surrounded the festival. Also I had the opportunity to listen to live rock n roll music all day. There were different rock n roll bands alternating all day to get to hear a variety of rock n roll music. What I enjoyed most about the music was the fact that some members of the bands were playing unknown instruments to me that introduced me to new sounds and melodies. The bands were even selling their albums to the crowd in order to fundraise for the scholarship.…

Panama City Beach is a beautiful place to vacation. However, whether someone is a spring breaker or an older couple they will probably have different times they visit the beach. Panama City during spring break might be a bit overwhelming for an older couple. They probably will not have a good time if they visited during spring break. It is more enjoyable for an older couple to vacation in Panama City Beach during a weekday than it is during spring break because, there are no parties, it is cheaper, and it is less crowded.…

El Paso is a city that is known as just a border city surrounded by pure desert, and boring characteristics. When I moved to El Paso I disliked the environment. I always felt bored and I never found anything fun or interesting to do. As a few years passed by, I discovered that El Paso was not so boring after all. Many inhabitants believe that the only options for a fun day out is to get together with friends and go to the mall, but what many people do not know is that there are so many fun things to do in El Paso. The city of El Paso is actually full of fun festivities that add plenty of value to El Paso which people are not frequently aware of. Such as the EPCC Fall Festival, which I recently attended with my family. Because El Paso is known as a boring city with nothing to do, people need to look for events such as the Fall Festival and attend one of the many things to do in El Paso.…

After dancing, as a group we go out together into the festival and explore what this event has to offer. We spent most of the day there. It was great to see how well all the cultures adapt together in one setting. Everyone seems to get along so well and it gives the environment such a friendly and happy feel. All the food booths pull you in with the amazing aromas, that make your mouth water. They are set up right next to each other and its like walking through different countries right in Tucson. My favorite foods were the Vietnamese boba slushies and the Greek gyros. I tried to make as much room for all the different foods I wanted to try, but there was just so many it was impossible!
