When it comes to choosing whether or not to read the text along with the film, most would recommend reading the story first for “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge”. While the film had a mostly accurate portrayal of the story, one would need to read the text for the entire account. Although, the main character was believable as he made the reader or viewer sympathetic towards him. With flashbacks to his family, one could almost be empathetic with thoughts of losing someone. The use of camera angles was very effective. During the grand escape, they shot a majority of the shots at a high angle to show how helpless he was, at the mercy of the river. At times, the music could be a bit distraction. For example, when he first escaped, they played the song “Livin’ Man” and it was a bit strange. But at other times, the music helped to add intensity or emotion to the scenes when words could not.…

One of Roebling’s greatest implementations in the Niagara Falls Bridge was his lattice truss design. Unlike the standard lattice truss systems where the diagonal beams lie over each other, his system interlaced the diagonal beams. This provided the structure with a higher rigidity than what was previously possible using traditional methods. This design was not flawless, however, as it substantially reduced the effectiveness of the diagonals. Roebling thought this compromise was acceptable given that the bridge supports served to buttress the system. Another advantage of the diagonal iron bands is that it avoids wooden joints which are comparatively movable and reduce the resistance of the system. A horizontal giving way (buckling) of the truss level is not possible since at the final point the vertical poles take only pulling tension…

In reference to literary movements, naturalism and realism are quite similar but have clear differences to each other. Our primary audience is the Key Bridge Foundation, specifically Dana Coles and Connie Pulliam who are the co-directors of the community conferencing program at the Key Bridge Foundation. The Key Bridge Foundation is interested in helping to resolve as many student conflicts in schools as possible by having the school refer students to them and providing those students with a space to talk. This expansion requires money which the foundation obtains through donations received on their website. Surveys have shown that an organization’s mission statement is an important factor for potential donors. The Key Bridge Foundation would benefit from having a video that sells its mission to donors and makes them feel that they are contributing to something that works. Similar organizations also used two 10-minute videos to inform its visitors about its mission statement. We hope that this will help the Key Bridge Foundation reach a certain target amount in donations in order to continue providing their service and also to potentially expand to other locations. The cost of placing a video on the…

In EverybodyLove is a strong symbol of showing somebody that you care and want to everything that you can for them. Having love for somebody would mean you would try to do anything and everything you can just to see that person be happy. When you’re missing a person you will feel like you are empty inside and wishing you could just hug and see that person again. I know everybody is missing or has missed somebody before, especially the people who are gone for a certain amount of time. Timberland’s exercise of its corporate power in society is very much so positive. The have contributed many great things to the world around them as they see fit. Jeffrey Swartz, the grandson of the founder and the last member of the family to serve as CEO said, “At Timberland, doing well and doing good are not separate efforts. Every day, everywhere, we compete in the global economy. At the center of our efforts is the premise of service…” (Lawrence Anne T.) Timberland only went further to prove this statement by Swartz. The social responsibly contributed by the New Hampshire Company is apparent and influentially responsible. Large companies can and are very influential to other companies because they set the pace.
