1.1
Iago and Roderigo discussing about Othello, and wakes Brabantio to tell him his daughter went behind his back to marry Othello.

1.2
Iago warns Othello about Brabantio, trying to get them not to meet and have Othello hide. That way, Iago manipulate through guises and ambiguity.
Cassio tells Othello the Duke is looking for him, and Brabantio finds Othello and excuses him of stealing his daughter.

1.3
In which Othello defends himself, Desdemona makes her entrance, and the newlyweds have to make haste to Cyprus.
Iago tells Roderigo about his plans, and in his monologue, reveals why he hates Othello.

2.1
There is storm and the fleets are destroyed. Everyone survives but the Turks. Iago sees Cassio and Desdemona together and begins to plot.
He continues with his façade by pretending he is incapable when Desdemona asks him to improvise praise about her.

2.2
Othello’s Herald arrives with a proclamation.

2.3
Othello and Desdemona consummate their marriage while Iago gets Cassio drunk. Roderigo starts a fight which ends up with Montano getting hurt and Cassio being stripped of his position. Iago advises Cassio to seek help from Desdemona.

3.1
Cassio attempts to communicate with Desdemona with the help of Iago and his wife, Emilia.

Othello goes to check on the fortification.

3.3
This is where love turns to destruction.
Desdemona agrees to help Cassio and she becomes overconfident and impetous about it despite having no real understanding about the situation.
Othello sees Cassio slink away and Desdemona keeps pestering him about Cassio.
Iago uses this the opportunity to implement the first seed of doubt in Othello’s mind, and manages to convince Othello that Desdemona is cheating on him.
Desdemona and Emilia return.
When Desdemona tries to comfort Othello, he waves her away, causing her to drop her handkerchief.
Emilia finds Desdemona’s handkerchief. While she first planned to have it copied, she ended up giving it to Iago in order to please him. Iago then plans to plant it in Cassio’s room.

3.4
Desdemona tells Emilia about her lost handkerchief but Emilia doesn’t admit she gave it to Iago.
Othello confronts her about the handkerchief but Desdemona keeps diverting the conversation by talking about Cassio. This aggravates Othello.
Cassio and Bianca meet, and he gives her Desdemona’s handkerchief, which he found in his chamber, and he asks her to copy it.

4.1
Othello has an epilepsy.
Iago questions Cassio about Bianca, which Othello (who is hiding) misinterprets as Cassio talking about Desdemona.
Bianca confronts Cassio about the handkerchief, which pisses Othello off even more.
Othello decides to murder Desdemona in bed that night.
Lodovico arrives with news that Cassio is promoted and will stay in Cyprus while the others return to Venice.
Othello thinks that Cassio is stealing away from him everything and retaliates by hitting Desdemona.

4.2
Othello distrusts Emilia’s testimony and rejects her advice. SEXISM.
Othello calls Desdemona a whore. MORE SEXISM.
Iago pretends to want to help Desdemona.

4.3
Desdemona laments to Emilia about her troubles.

On Othello’s obedience, Desdemona dismisses Emilia.

5.1
Roderigo starts a fight with Cassio which he loses lol and afterwards, Iago stabs Cassio in the leg, pretends he was never there when Lodovico and Gratiano finds Cassio. Kills Roderigo.

5.2
The end of all beginnings - the one where everyone pays the price
Othello smothers Desdemona, and when she tries to defend Othello by telling Emilia she committed suicide, Othello damns her.
Everyone shows up and Iago’s plans begin to unravel as his powers of persuasion and manipulation are lost due to Emilia’s insistent on open confrontation.
Iago kills Emilia! Othello wounds Iago! Othello kills himself! Iago is punished!
