Thesis: Oprah Winfrey became a household name because she is tenacious, charitable, and inspiring.
Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Her mother was eighteen years old, single, and not ready to be a parent. Once Oprah was four years old, her mother moved to Milwaukee and left Oprah with her grandmother. They were extremely poor and lived on a farm, but Oprah was a highly intelligent child and did well in school. Her grandmother taught her to read when she was three and from then on she memorized Bible passages which she recited in church. This shaped her public speaking abilities which helped her in the future as a news anchor and tv talk show host. These qualities are what made women be inspired by Oprah. Oprah is a very inspiring woman, her name is known in almost every household in America for her inspiring works. She has been a humble and fit woman, but has been honest about it.
As you already know, Oprah is an extremely successful woman. She makes millions and is very famous, but deals with it very humble like. She never forgets about her past and childhood, but she uses it as a building block for her future. She puts her difficulties into her success and it works! Oprah has never been greedy when it comes to money and sharing the spotlight, this is one reason she is so inspiring.
A while ago on The Oprah Show, Oprah came out carrying a wagon filled with meat. Sixty-five pounds of meat. It represented all the weight she lost with the help of her trainer Bob Greene.
