Have you ever known Oprah Winfrey? Oprah Winfrey is a very talented professional. Even though all the struggles through life, she still manages to chase her dreams. The basic outlook of it all, Oprah Winfrey is a very amazing woman. Throughout her life, there were many obstacles. Oprah Winfrey was born January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi, United States. At eight years old, Oprah was on her way to her third home in a third different state. Her unmarried parents, Vernon Winfrey and Vernita Lee, separated soon after she was born, leaving her to be raised by her maternal grandmother. As Oprah got older, she realized that her grandmother was quoting Romans 15:1. Oprah had a bad relationship with her mother. She once faked a robbery, just to get new glasses. In 1996 and 1997, she was 3rd on the Forbes list of the world’s highest paid entertainers, after grossing a combined total of $201 million. Winfrey has committed to stay with her daytime show, which has outperformed every other syndicated talk show in TV history, at least through the 2011 season. “ I am finally at a point in my life where I'm acting the kind of shows I've always wanted to do, and to make choices to lead to more fulfilled lives. In 1988, the year she became the youngest recipient of prestigious broadcaster of the year award. Oprah broke ground for the Oprah Winfrey leadership academy for girls in Gauteng Province on December 6, 2002. The Oprah Winfrey show is seen 122 countries around the world. Winfrey cultivated a reputation for campaigning causes in her programs and ventures that other leading media and entertainment companies ignore.
