CHAPTER I
I. INTRODUCTION Without us noticing it, our world has been change by technology in all possible ways Our daily works is now more convenient through the use of high-end devices that are newly developed and some have been updated even before it has been introduced to the public, and much more. These developments aim to better utilize the existing resources and maximize their uses to be able to bring out new or better products or outputs.
Computerization is synonymous to the word automation which is the act of implementing the control with equipment with advanced technology, which usually involves using electronic hardware. It also implies the replacement of human workers with machines. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/computerization).
Different institutions have been seeking different form of advancements to their current system for better service so that customer satisfaction could be guarantee as a good business customer's is our top priority in whatever kind of business we may be.
One type of institution which have abundantly adopted this innovation are academe or school. As an academic institution which has been and is continuously ensuing excellence, Santa Isabel College has been offering services to its students with the best that they could offer. It seeks room for improvement in order to enhance the current processes in the school. The Basic Education Department is divided into two departments – the Lower BED (Preschool, and Primary) and Higher BED (Secondary Level). Currently, the library is using a manual system from the updating of the student’s list, selection of books and counter-checking books are available. The use of manual system has been causing inconvenience both to the students and to the library staffs and is reoccurring throughout the year. Just like all other offerings Santa Isabel College gives to its students, the concern with the library system can be considered as another room for improvement which can be resolved
