Okonkwo's Changes In Things Fall Apart

Written by Chinua Achebe in 1958, Things fall apart is about an aggressive short-tempered man named Okonkwo. Okonkwo is a self-made, well-respected member of the Umuofia clan who quickly rises to power in his village after he wins a wrestling match when he was a teenager. Every action he takes in the book, from working from day to night to shooting at his wife with a gun, he makes the more aggressive decision because of one person, each decision is made in fear, hear that he will become like his father. The book talks about his daily life and how his life changes as soon as the "European Scramble for Africa" begins.
Okonkwo interacts negatively and more aggressively when around people because he does not want to be remembered as his father.
